Imran Khan spreading Propganda

I was trying to say that MQM was politically targeted by all other parites, and all people were blaming MQM, no one asked PPP, ANP abt that!!

And in karachi police, 80% policemen are sindhi's and punjabis and they are enemy of MQM!!
Do u know what they did with MQM in operation against MQM!!

Lets not make this another MQM-good-or-bad thing guys and stick to the topic.

In my view Imran Khan is an opportunist, his ideas are unrealistic and designed to harness public opinion (mainly resentment) during a particular time and thus he does not try to influence or change the attitudes of people in order to make Pakistan better and he certainly doesn't have a real ideology or long term vision; he just postures his rhetoric, telling the people what they want to hear. He should try telling some hard truths about the need for being responsible, decisive and united in front of terrorism, instead he tells the people that its they who have been tragically wronged and that everything should be blamed on the Army and 'Amerikaa' who ‘kill innocent people for dollars’ (ofcourse when he goes to the UK/US he changes his tune a bit about the west being an 'imperialist Anti-Islam' entity)

thanks a lot sir, the best of the best analysis of IMRAN & his politics!:agree::tup:

People of the army and people of other political parties (including MQM) do not like Imran Khan simply because he has the sense to criticize what is wrong. He challenges the army's position of unfair and absolute power and interference in Pakistani politics, he challenges the rule-by-the-gun policies of the MQM, he challenges the twisted Islamic ideas of the Taleban, he challenges the wait-and-see, some may say lazy, policies of the PPP, he challenges the influence, some say puppetry, of the Americans in the region and so on.

Basically, he calls a spade a spade, and people don't like that. If that makes him an opportunist, so be it. From a completely neutral perspective (I have no family members close to any political parties, and only distant relatives in the army, so I am as neutral as you can get) he seems to be the only guy who actually says what is on the people's mind. We've given all the other jokers a chance, why not him? I disagree with him on many things (his policy on FATA trouble is something I don't like) but at least he is a man of action and a man of thought.

You really have to be blindfolded to not notice that he seems to have the people's pulse in his hands. If he criticizes the West, he has good reasons for it. If he speaks against the Army, he has good reasons for it. No single organization in Pakistan is purely good and purely evil (yes, this may hurt some feelings, but it is true). The entire reason this thread was started was for the purposes of character assassination. If we're going to assassinate someone, let's start with the leader of MQM (quaid-e-my-backside), lets start with Bush, lets start even with Musharraf, people who actually have blood on their hands.

Imran Khan actually makes a lot of sense. The political fallout of what he says is a different issue however.

Imran Khan want himself to be a leader who believes in justice and equality so I don't think he supports terrorism but as the saying goes one mans terrorist can be another mans freedom fighter.

He's not supporting them, but simply giving the reasons why those who support the Taliban are doing so.
Explanation is not the same thing as support.

he is just , following QAZI HUSSAIN AHMED , he has no idea's by his own , i dont care any 1 likes him or not, but he can find it out in the next genrl elections!

Last time he won in mianwali, because people of mianwali thought that he can bring the change , what they needed there, but he failed because of his emtional & un- logical politics, which cant benifit the people of mianwali!
how can he can benefit the poeple of pakistan , as he cant in mianwali! he talks alot on every issue, but in the end he has to follow a former ISI chief & qazi hussain ahmed , who had same idealogy which IMRAN hi-lights in his lectures?

Today I was listening to a famous Pakistani scholar and he mentioned that the Nizam-e-adal regulation was demanded by the people of SWAT because it gave them cheap and immediate justice..So the Taaliban thought its a good idea to demand what will be very hard for the govt to agree and they can easily gain sympathy of the locals..So they started demanding the Nizam-e-adal regulation..But since the govt has given them what they demanded, Taalibans have no moral ground to keep weopans...So this has put them in very odd position...

I remember Imran saying, we should take that advantage from taaliban which they are exploiting and should not give them any reason to fight against the army and state of Pakistan...and give them (people of SWAT) Nizam-e-adal so that we can have the support of the locals..

Thats exactly what govt did,

Now when Taliban will not put their weopans down, they'll automatically loose the support ( according to some reports, already lost) of locals...

Only if they had listen him earlier, we could have avoided all the precious lives of our soldiers and citizens..

Imran Khan is just as oppurtunist as MQM when I said my last on one mans terrorist can be another mans freedom fighter I was quoting from one of his speeches after WoT he said it on his website I think that all the small parties become oppurtunist on any incedent that occurs because they need to make headlines that is the only way they can hold a future in the elections however I think that Imran Khan holds one manifesto for his party.

So is the every political party in the world :)

Raheel but the problem is now Talibans are not unarming and Army should rightfully take action but he said on TV yesterday if Army again takes action against Taliban he will start a tehreek?I mean WTF!

Well I cant comment, cause I havent heard those words and in what context he said them, But one thing is for sure that anyone who will support Taliban now will write an end to his/her polictial career.

And Imran I think is sensible enough not to utter such nonsense..

BTW, I condemn it if he said that :)

exactly.. now if the talibans dont drop their weapons and carry on threatning other areas, not only they will loose support but more and more ppl will start supporting GoP. also this is slowly leadin to a build up of national consensus which is really important if u want to isolate them and then launch an offensive against them if needed.

Imran khan normally talks about wat lead to creation of taliban and wat makes ppl join their rank. he talks about isolating them by providing a better system which has never been provided by the state. but i think there will always come a time when we will have to take some decisive action against them. however before that we need to make sure that ppl are on our side and against talibans.

However I feel that the IK will lose support if he tries to go against bigger parties as often as he does his comment on the army won't be taken lightly either however can anyone please post a link to his statement.
