Not wanting to divert this thread, On topic it's nice that IK has shown support to Turkey. Now this is one country that stands on side of Pakistan like a rock. My personal experiance with Turks has always been positive. And as IK says Turks really show their mettle when they face adversity. I am sure they will prevail like they done at every rocky period in their history.

No one listens to speeches made to half empty rooms. The speeches are not even the most important aspect of this special meeting of the UNGA. It's the meeting of so many world leaders in one place.

I don't think he'll be going, he'll probably send the Foreign Minister.

It would be foolish for IK to not go given how many world leaders he can interact with at one place. And world leaders are eager to meet him, to size him up, to see what he's made of.

It be better to wait and focus on internal issues and build his stature first, rather than going their and the US president not meeting which would look bad on IK. It's not even that important for the time being and US is not his main priority it's the neighbours and Saudi's.

It’s a special meeting of UNGA. Point is to interact with other leaders, not just Trump. IK doesn’t even have to meet anybody from US to make it worthwhile for him and Pakistan.

Not to de-rail the thread. But that's a cheap shot at someone expressing solidarity and support for Islamic unity.

Imran Khan likely would have welcomed the message. As we can see already this brother is for real.

Muslims need unity (as our religion states) and have to get past sectarian and ethnic tensions.

Despite our obvious heterogeneity, non-muslims see us all as the same.

The past is the past. Leave it there so we can all address the challenges in the present and future.

Both of the Zias were patriotic, even their political rivals personally admit this. The west has an ongoing program of removing every single patriotic leader of the Muslim world. They want leaders like sissy, MBS, MBZ, assad and hasina.
