Al Jazeera speaks to Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, about the prospects of the Pakistan-US relationship in light of Tuesday's US presidential election. Khan, who has severely criticised the US policy of conducting drone strikes on targets inside Pakistan, has previously said that he would order the Pakistani armed forces to shoot drones down if he were to become prime minister. He has also said that, if his party is brought to power in Pakistan's next elections, he will reset the Pakistan-US relationship, pulling away from any military alliance with the country.

Imran Khan is preaching fantasy.

We already tried a peace deal with the Tribals in 2006 and what resulted was Taliban advancing on Swat, Lal Masjid and more suicide bombings.

Making peace with the Taliban is like making peace with Snakes.

The Strategy should be arming the Anti-Taliban Tribals to fight the Taliban, coordinated Drone Strikes and backed by Pakistani Ground Offensives along with major Infrastructure and Economic projects.

Then you come and rule Pakistan c'mon what is stopping you from bringing change to Pakistan, people like you are real snakes. No matter how westernized you get at the end of the day you are a Pakistani, try to love yourself as a Pakistani.

Someone sitting at home dictating strategies to Army and Political Parties this is hilarious. Your words have no weight, Pakistan Armed Forces Refused Operations categorically until they feel the need.

Saw him last week in Toronto. Was impressed with his fitness. Does not look like he is 60! Bravo.

What a childish comment. And you are a member of Jr.Think Tank.

This is a forum where different views are expressed and different military related topics are discussed. I am just offering my opinion as the best course forward. If you don't like it, then offer a rebuttal.

Don't resort to childish insults.

It only makes you look bad.
