What is the political thinking behind postponing elections? Everybody can see things can only get worse when default occurs, and inflation goes still higher. wouldn't it have been more beneficial for the ruling party to have held elections earlier when things were not yet this bad? USD/PKR was 185 on May 1, 2022. It will shoot up to 400 or above once default occurs. If the government is afraid of 40% inflation, what will they do when it reaches 100%?

Because PDM (PML/PPP/JUI-F) are crooks and they only came to power to cancel all the cases against themselves

the rationale is simple , delay it as much as they can, use the extra time to break pti into pieces, dividing its vote bank and than again form the government like this loose coalition. In the mean time either kill IK or disqualified him through any case!
