imran khan refused Modi's calls for SAARC videoconference on COVID-19

haha India is not re-exporting drugs from China. India imports chemicals, then manufacture the drugs. Chinese drugs are expensive, even they import generic drugs for cancer treatment from India.
70% of active pharmaceutical ingredients used by Indian drug companies comes from China.

If India is not exporting medical supplies to SAARC countries then this exercise is useless.........unless India needs medical supplies from SAARC countries.
Summary of the video conference :
  • We are assembling a Rapid Response Team of doctors and specialists in India, along with testing kits and other equipment. They will be on stand-by, to be placed at your disposal, if required.
  • We can also quickly arrange online training capsules for your emergency response teams. This will be based on the model we have used in our own country, to raise the capacity of all our emergency staff.
  • We had set up an Integrated Disease Surveillance Portal to better trace possible virus carriers and the people they contacted. We could share this Disease Surveillance software with SAARC partners, and training on using this.
  • India is also providing $10 million for emergency fun. Any country can use the fund to meet the cost of immediate actions. Our Foreign Secretaries, through our embassies can coordinate quickly to finalize the utilisation of this Fund.

The point is you don't manufacture shit. We have supplies. I hear Corona cases jumped in Pakistan, this may also happen at a greater proportion in India too but we are better equipped to deal with it.
