The elections are held by election commission. ITs the same rotten election commission that held election in May 2013. To reform election commission, PTI cant do a thing. Its reform can only be done by federal govt. The federal govt is dishonest. Its a beneficiary of this rotten system .Why would it want to reform the system which benefits it?

I can take Imran 'obsession' with power any day. He wants power not for commission or corruption.

Can't believe that still people are finding things to nitpick. This is Pakistan people, koi 1st world country nahi hai jahan ek hi bari mein saray kaam theek hojaingay..if you want democracy to flourish then support what KPK is doing to correct its mistakes, learning from them and improving itself as a province and having its basic state institutions act independently.

My problem with PTI is that Imran Khan is going to the dentist since last 2 years to have his heart surgery. The dentist keeps telling him that he is knocking the wrong door and he is doing dharna's outside his clinic for not treating him fairly and pleading that he even went to the doctor but his procedure for medical check-up is too long so hence he is back to the dentist.

It won't be like that Mr Khan, you gotta come out of your obsession for power, grow up man you are not a youth anymore. The problems he highlighted for General Elections 2013 were repeated in his own province in local body election, we can talk about the incompetency of ECP, we can talk about the incompetency of state machinery but we have to let the rule of law take its course.

re-holding of election is not a kids play as you are not sure about the repeat telecast of incompetency by the state machinery, rigging and all. For that you need reforms and reforms takes time.

First and foremost, reforms take effort, time is secondary and this government had and has plenty of it and it hasn't done much. What's stopped PML-N from introducing reforms on a war-footing? Nothing but its own malice.

Second, there are tons of difference between general and LB elections, you can't compare the two.

And reforms takes time. It's a nation of 190 million people, the efforts of PTI has made an ego issue between both Pml n and pti so Jo progress honi thee utni Bhi nahi hoe and if we want to introduce biometric technology we must start working on it now to be prepared until 2018. The problem is PTI has maligned everybody so much that 'shareef admi' fears accepting key job role in ECP so the entire ecp infrastructure has done little for reforms.

If you watch old videos before the election 2013, you will see Fakhruddin G Ibrahim and talking about introducing biometric system in Pakistan before the future election in 2018.

The problem is, people need to be educated how to use that machine and before that we need to select the best and cost effective model of biometric machines and then order quarter million or more machines, test phase, training and the whole procedure will easily take 2-3 years from now

I say it is good that people need to be satisfied before they sit down to suck the country dry!


Mind you there are enough examples in Europe where people not being satisfied with election or any part of it to even agreeing to form a combined govt have reshuffled everything...

The very fact Pakistanis have a very rigid mentality is why they cant see this as it is ...and yet have the audacity to cry democracy?

If you go for reelection without any substantial reason, it will be an insult of people mandate.

Does the people mandate not cater to the people and their voice?

Do you know how many European countries did answer to the people? How Germany, Belgium and others ALSO had OTHER problems esp forming a proper parliament within the past 3 yrs?

Oh mere Bhai meri wo post offensive intentions ke Saath nahi thee wo to leader aur meri exchange of words hoti rahta hai from time to time and it didn't mean offensive for anybody. Baaqi aap ki baat se ghussa kar Bhi nahi sakta kyounke aap Jin supporters ki baat Kar Rahay hain wo jane aur aap jane.

Pakistan ka 1 problem hai ke pehle jab PPP ke jiyalas dominate karte that to politics was either in favour of PPP or against PPP. Difference of opinion ka margin nahi detay that. Ab PTI la Bhi waisa hi logic hai ke Jo PTI se differ karay wo Patwari aur baaqi saara Pakistan PTI ka, can't absorb criticism. Being a Pakistani I have a right to criticise any political party in Pakistan and when I utilise my right against PPP, PML-N, ANP, Jamat e Islami or MQM I don't get to hear any personal attacks or swear but when I criticise the Holy PTI the things get dirty all of a sudden. Please don't doubt my intentions I would also like to see Pakistan progressing faster than all nations but if anybody has chosen different approach than what I think, even if they are right, I still retain right for criticism to the best of my wisdom

Somebody is finally!!! Learning some politics... If he had said it's a conspiracy or I am innocent and my.mandate will not be challenged then it would have made him look worse... This statement is a curve ball.
1. He shows the entire Pakistan that he is innocent and he is willing to have re elections to answer party concerns.
2. He showcases his mandate and support for his supporters and voters which showcases leader loyalty.
3. He shows confidence in the result and in fact claims that result will be better for him which shows his confidence and subtley tells that his party was a victim of rigging as well in the province ....
4. He shows that he is flexible and that he can address problems of other parties unlike the federal.
5. This way he stregthens his stand on re election of general by pointing out that if one is innocent they would want re elections.
6. He shows that he is different from federal..



You see this is a good political move bcz there is a world of difference between lb and general but his statement has the aura of ' riggers do not want re elections under army'

I hope he is actually thinking like that rather than bravado bcz I want to see imran as a shrewed politician and not the civil disobedience calling naive politician.
