My problem with PTI is that Imran Khan is going to the dentist since last 2 years to have his heart surgery. The dentist keeps telling him that he is knocking the wrong door and he is doing dharna's outside his clinic for not treating him fairly and pleading that he even went to the doctor but his procedure for medical check-up is too long so hence he is back to the dentist.

It won't be like that Mr Khan, you gotta come out of your obsession for power, grow up man you are not a youth anymore. The problems he highlighted for General Elections 2013 were repeated in his own province in local body election, we can talk about the incompetency of ECP, we can talk about the incompetency of state machinery but we have to let the rule of law take its course.

re-holding of election is not a kids play as you are not sure about the repeat telecast of incompetency by the state machinery, rigging and all. For that you need reforms and reforms takes time.

Election commission ne cheekh cheekh ke bola ke General Elections 2013 main biometric system kaise la sakte hain wo bhi itne thoray arsay main, Jab ECP banaya aap logon ne to they claimed ke agar biometric system lana hai to sab se pehle aap ko uski machinery order karni hai jo years n years ka procedure hai. Agar Pakistan main supposedly 100,000 polling stations main 4 polling booth bhi hon to 400,000 biometric devices chahiye aap ko. ECP ke mutabiq Pakistan main 250,000 machines chahiye thay as per their assessment so I will quote their figure.

Ab 250,000 machines online to hoti nahi ke internet se connected nadra database ho gi jo aap ne 1 second main download kar leni hai, saari machines offline network main hi operate karti hain to prevent hacking and security issues, matlub har 1 machine main aap ne offline data download karna hai har constituency ke hisaab se. Us ke baad aap ne uske security check karne hai to prevent rigging for e-voting. Us ke baad aap ne staff ko train karna hai...

Ooper se Supreme Court main overseas Paksitanis ka case chal raha tha ke whether they have the right of vote or not and ECP had clearly mentioned that each vote would cost you 50 dollars and the Government of Pakistan cannot afford such cost at this time. That is because like in Pakistan you cannot discriminate anybody overseas so you will be dispatching the biometric machines to 204 countries in the world and can't just pick n choose your favourite country abroad. Then you will be identifying the votes of people in particular constituencies as the data will be offline similar to Pakistan's internal voting process and it will take time, then it will be transported back to Pakistan and counted the data for each constituency. It is not easy that 1 person from Lahore is living in London and another from Sialkot and you just go to the embassy and cast your vote on the same machine as there is a high risk of hacking involved in that case.

Bohat complications hoti hain aur India main bhi it took years n years of process to make a credible e-voting system. Poori duniya main gin ke 3-4 countries hi hain I believe jahan per biometric system introduce karwaya ja chuka hai aur Europe ka bhi koi country nahi (except Germany i think) including UK jahan ye system introduce karwaya jaa saka due to its high cost of maintenance and security issues. Batain karna asaan hai, jhagra karna bhi asaan hai lakin PTI ko yeh sab issues ka pata thaa, unhon ne acknowledge bhi kiya aur ECP pe bharosa bhi kiya, judiciary ko bhi most credible in the history of Pakistan bola phir apni har baat ko u-turn karte gaye kyounke unhain pata hai ke end of the day unki popularity ya to virgin voters ki hai ya phir un logon ki jinka vote hi nahi bana to they won't be interested in the nonsense of research and technical issues

I say it is good that people need to be satisfied before they sit down to suck the country dry!


Mind you there are enough examples in Europe where people not being satisfied with election or any part of it to even agreeing to form a combined govt have reshuffled everything...

The very fact Pakistanis have a very rigid mentality is why they cant see this as it is ...and yet have the audacity to cry democracy?

And you are a Think Tank Analyst!

The elections are held by election commission. ITs the same rotten election commission that held election in May 2013. To reform election commission, PTI cant do a thing. Its reform can only be done by federal govt. The federal govt is dishonest. Its a beneficiary of this rotten system .Why would it want to reform the system which benefits it?

I can take Imran 'obsession' with power any day. He wants power not for commission or corruption.

If he is so true to his word, the rather than making a statement, he should have made an announcement i.e. re-election in KPK.
However, we will see how true he is to his word in the coming days.
