Seriously? Imran Khan is not threatening to behead anyone if Dr.Aafia isn't returned.
I understand why people would disagree with Imran Khan but comparing him to ISIS is just stupid. There is absolutely no way you can compare a group of mass-murderers with a political party like PTI.

Reductio ad Hitlerum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to Strauss, the Reductio ad Hitlerum is a humorous observation where someone compares an opponent's views with those that would be held by Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party.

According to Strauss, Reductio ad Hitlerum is a form of ad hominem or ad misericordiam, a fallacy of irrelevance, in which a conclusion is suggested based solely on something's or someone's origin rather than its current meaning.[citation needed] The suggested rationale is one of guilt by association. Its name is a variation on the term reductio ad absurdum.

Many nations negotiate for release of their citizens in trouble abroad , and its completely fair for him to request a release for Humanitarian reasons and for fostering of proper releations between nations.

Specially since Pakistan has also release many contract workers caught red handed on Pakistani Soil before belonging to international citizenships

But my dear this is not what people like the OP want to read or understand ..... its there objectified psyche .... its not about IK, its not about PTI but ..... its about Pakistan ..... its just about Pakistan

Generally , a Pakistani citizen can't be abducted from Pakistani soil and transferred out illegally and a resolution has to be determined to resolve the issue

Also not sure where a court stands on admitting of kidnapping of someone , and then when they (allegedly do something , use that basis for imprisonment). The mental state of lady was questionable considering she lost a child as well, it was rumored that the kidnappers had access to the abducted child which may have prompted a harsh response by the women in custody (via kidnapping)

The source of Article was from 2012, for Imran Khan's quote, to discuss issue with American embassy representative, however any leader of nation would discuss a meaningful humane resoultion

And even so the source is outdated many nations forgive a crime and release a prisoner in favour of better diplomatic ties and improving image with general public its called diplomacy

I think there used to be laws to prevent people suspected of mental trauma being put to any trial

PTI's political mandate is social welfare and improvement of local lives of people , and promoting peaceful relations with friendly nations , who engage in peaceful programs in country

It was Pakistani operatives who kidnapped Dr. AS from Karachi and handed her over to the Americans in Afghanistan, please do not forget that.

Regardless of crime , most countries have diplomatic channels for women and elderly and children , and even male counter parts so its nothing unusual.

Have never hear of case of taking a mentally disturbed women who had her daughter kidnapped , then kidnapped herself and flown out to trial and then told we don't have your child that we promised that we had and then put her thru some court trial against her wishes. Just sounds not right.

Abduction itself is illegal act

Just reading about it , one can conclude there were a lot of loop holes

The whole things international embarrassment and a diplomatic solution is needed

If People in Pakistani Jails can be freed in name of good will who actually did committed Homicide then I am sure things should be negotiated on diplomatic channel

Wait, what nation does this IK guy represent? The SAME one who he's caused a 500 Billion loss to, with many dead and hundreds injured.....he's ONLY represented 10K people and their violent wishes for the past few months.

If you are referring to the Nation of Pakistan....didn't he openly reject and violate the constitution of Pakistan? But the rest of the nation STILL follows the same constitution. So he's not representing the same nation. What's up with that? Someone needs to talk to IK and get this clarified. Too much confusion.
You can't be a part of a nation when you openly reject the constitution that the nation runs its country and the systems with. Add violence to it and that becomes treason and crimes.

Well , the purpose of this thread is to single out Imran Khan for support for Ms Afia, general consensus in Pakistan is for humanitarian release of the lady as its against our principles to torture women and and children. The article is from 2012, however majority of Pakistanis want the release of Ms Afia on humanitarian grounds and fact she was kidnapped and her daughter went missing

Secondly , Mr Imran Khan represents , majority of Pakistani citizens , who are protesting for 30 days straight in nation's capital the coverage is not covered by international media however on national channels the coverage is provided daily perhaps you may not be a Pakistani national so you are excused from such reviews.
A constitution that does not serves the Population , but it serves the elite is rejected by Citizens of Pakistan and the rule will return in hand of Citizens of Pakistan.

You might want to read the constitution of the nation you serve and review their constitution which has a clause if the Government starts to become the citizens of the nation will bear arms and form militias

We want a similar arrangement in Pakistan , government fails to serve the people it has NO RIGHT TO STAY IN POWER

There were international Norms for Treating Women /Elderly and children however we notice that these international norms were not respected for making an example with the lady who was clearly under mental disorder due to kidnapping and disappearance of her daughter
