Imran conditionally supports NWA operation

Imran Khan reminds me of Mitt Romney.

Before both were sensible and reasonable people but ever since they started running for national office they have swung far to the right and adopted hawkish positions which defines convention.

Ok, this is an honest question and not meant to start any trolling...

All past Pakistani PMs be it Benazir, Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf...all of them started with supporting the militants in one place or the other. But, all of them in the end fought them. Why the need for experimenting again? Is it not clear that these militants do not recognise the Pak constitution but want their own version of Sharia law? What is there to talk about when they reject the constitution?

They supported the militants because their guns were trained on India.

What happened is that foreign militants started coming into these areas where these guys based and they had other enemies to target besides India and thus the world got involved.

Pakistan's foolish belief is that after 2014 US/NATO will withdraw from Afghanistan and things will go back to the good old days of the 1990's as Pakistan pours fighters and weapons into Kashmir and India fights an insurgency there and Pakistan continues to claim moral support.
