I never want Islamic state like Saudi or Iran, I never want even secular, just claim Islam as state religion and respect other minorities, simple. But I want welfare state, but it's hard for third world country to achieve that, also welfare states have huge debts and not so great economies.

I don't think that the state of Pakistan needs to prove anything to anyone,much less the Indian Muslims. Imran Khan may have his reasons for stating so but the way he did state it leaves much to be desired from a person of his calibre.

I don't know why you people are getting an Islamic state. Truly, Islam is the way of life and if you people think that Islam isolates us from giving rights to the Non-Muslims or Sharia or Non-Muslims then let me tell you clearly that during Islamic Golden Age Non-Muslims were more safer in Muslim lands than in their own lands. And secondly, one can't impose Sharia Law over Non-Muslims. Sharia is just for Muslims. Although Islam has defined the rules for the Non-Muslims too but still those rules are for us of how to behave with them.

For imran its a statment, which can get him good numbers of votes in KPK, where he is not seen good muslim, because of his marrige with a jew gril.
KPK can be a new power base, for IMran where, peoples are fed up, with secular ANP or ISLAMIC -political parties.

All he is saying is that social welfare is an Islamic duty and, being true to Islamic principles, a country should be a welfare state.

Whether such a welfare state is a good idea or not is a separate debate. Examples abound from West to East where welfare states have backfired economically by stifling competitiveness, innovation and efficiency. In the end, it depends how much state welfare is good welfare.

He already said Pakistan will be a state where there will be religious tolerance, anyone can wear anything they like even skirts or whatever. Hopefully IK will try to make Pakistan the kind that Jinnah envisioned but I highly doubt it since IK is trying to get into bed with Mullahs.
