LONDON: An immigration officer was so sick of his wife that he put her on a terrorist watch list - so she could not get home from Pakistan.
The officer put his wife's name on a register of people banned from flights into the UK while she was visiting family in Pakistan, reports the Mirror.
When she went to the airport to get her return flight, officials told her that she could not board the plane and did not tell her why.
She called her husband who promised to look into it, but left her stuck in Pakistan for three years while he had the "time of his life". An immigration source said :"a lot of people may dislike their other halves but to take it to do this takes it to he next level".
The officer was caught when his bosses vetted him after he went for a promotion that required him to have a higher level of security clearance. They realised that his wife was on the watch list and asked him for an explanation which resulted in his confession.
