I think what he meant was can a regular jet fighter be used on aircraft carriers; i think not; maybe they can land with adaptations but take off is another issue altogether....

A-4 Skyhawk onboard US AC. For the small size it was also AC borne Aircraft. China have J-15s for The AC and other Nations don't have ACs.
