It seems MOM has already used its MCC Payload to capture some Pics.
Though the pics from Mars are awaited. I'll start with what we already have in hand...

The Mars orbiter spacecraft started sending its first high quality images of the Red Planet late on Wednesday, Isro sources said, allaying fears that the missions cameras had failed.

“Images are clicked. Data is downloaded. Process is going on,” a top Isro official said, replying to a question on whether the spacecraft had taken pictures of Mars’ surface.

India's Mars Orbiter spacecraft has sent five pictures of the red planet's surface, said a senior Isro official. "The Mars Orbiter has started sending pictures. We have received five pictures and these are under processing," the official said, preferring anonymity.

Images were expected to arrive in the afternoon but there was no news about it till evening causing some concern.

Earlier on Wednesday, India created history by becoming the first country to succeed on its first Mars mission when Isro's Mangalyaan slipped into Martian orbit after a few nail-biting moments.

The country joined the United States, European Space Agency and the former Soviet Union in the elite club of Martian explorers with the Mars Orbiter Mission, affectionately called MOM.

"History has been created by our scientists", said PM Narendra Modi in his speech immediately after the scientists declared the mission a success. "We have dared to reach out to the unknown."

"When our cricketers win a tournament, we celebrate in a big way. What these scientists have achieved is thousand times bigger," he added.

@JonAsad
There is no such thing as india's Mars Orbiter spacecraft-
The government is fooling you-
Soon you will hear that you have lost contact with mars orbiter spacecraft due to some technical malfunction--
and all this hoax will be over with no actual proof that it even existed

Asad Mia, wo Nasa wale Chutia Hai ? Ya Wo CNN wale aur BBC wale Gadhe Hai .. jo MOM MOM kar Rahe Hai ??
Ya JF17 Banane wale Chinese Pahgal Hai Jo .. India ko Congrats De Rahe Hai...

Mill Gaya Proof Meri Jaan ??? Ab Bolne se Pehle Thoda Soch Lena... Yara...

Mangalyaan sends picture of dust storm activities on Mars

ndia's Mars orbiter has sent a picture of regional dust storm activities over the northern hemisphere of the Red Planet, Isro said on Monday.

"Regional dust storm activities over northern hemisphere of Mars - captured by Mars Color Camera on-board Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM)", Bangalore-headquartered Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) said on its official Facebook page with a picture.

It said the image was taken from an altitude of 74,500 kms from the surface of Mars.

MOM spacecraft had sent its first images of the planet on Thursday, a day after creating history by becoming the only such endeavour so far to have met with success on the maiden attempt.

MOM aims to study the Martian surface and mineral composition and scan its atmosphere for methane, an indicator of life.

The spacecraft is equipped with five instruments, including a sensor to track methane or marsh gas, a colour camera and a thermal-imaging spectrometer to map the surface and mineral wealth of the planet.

The Rs. 450-crore MOM is the cheapest inter-planetary mission. India is the first country to reach Mars in the very first attempt. European, American and Russian probes have managed to orbit or land on the planet, but after several attempts.

The orbiter will keep moving in an elliptical path for at least six months with its instruments sending their gleanings back home.
