If they are so butthurt, why don't they make it official and join Christianity?

As someone said: "There is no cure for inferiority complex".

Hiding behind Hindu names is an old tactic, they get to claim a sort of immunity while spewing hatred for Hinduism and Hindus.

In reality, they seem to a mix of the two largest Abrahamic religions.

Since when IIT become a play ground for political activities? Why the IIT students wanted to debate on the political issues rather than scientific or social issues? Why they choose to debate on the ban on cow slaughter, ghar wapsi etc in the campus when the campus was only meant for non-political discussions....So they have crosed their limits hence dean was right in taking the actions....

Also, free speech does not indicate to speak about anything anywhere..there need to be proper place, proper time, and proper audience.

I being an IIT alumni can say that what makes IIT so good are it academic environment. Any political environment in an IIT will bring down its academic standards and its brand name If a student wants to join such groups, he/should better join Delhi University or any other state or central Universities.

There are no separate canteens for brahmans and non brahmans in IIT campus or at least I have not seen one in four years of my stay there. Neither is Sanskrit /Hindi imposed. The medium is English.

Liking or not liking Modi is a personal choice...but that is no reason to incite violence in the University campus. IIT has a reputation in the world which has to preserved.

With people as intelligent as you, India is not becoming a superpower anytime soon.

IIT does not ban anything related to caste/religion unless they are spreading hate. In my IIT there was a group who used to distribute qurans and ask people to attend debates/talks on Quran and Islam. However no one said anything against them and they were free to do what ever they did. But insulting an ideology or promoting hate would invite a straight up ban just like IIT Madras did.
