business visas are quite easy; i know of many people (some with whom i've worked professionally) who had no problems whatsoever - though in some cases they were invited and therefore all the work was done for them. In other cases they paid a fee and went through agencies.

there are different limitations for different countries as is always the case...there are limitations for indians trying to get visas such as a tourist visa to China....must have at least Rs. 1 lakh in their bank account and be able to provide proof of it. That doesnt apply to Pakistanis as far as I know.

Nothing bizarre, go to US embassy site, while 80% of Indians applying for visiting visa get the visa, while only 20% of Pakistan who get the visa.

By the way its always reciprocal, I have seen many Americans here not getting the work visa or work permit and facing problems in getting one, and even one or two got deported.

The only census that was unreliable was conducted in 1991 due to the "Mardam Shumari" house listing exercise. You really don't know what you are talking about here. Please quote me a source "NOT WIKI" that details why Pakistan census reports are unreliable.

Utter balderdash, I have been to China 3 times and never had any issues with a Visa at all. So long as you have the correct agency to sponor/apply for your visit, there is no problem. BTW British and Americans have a harder time getting to China then Pakistanis.

I had no problem passing passport control, whist the whities waited in line... Felt like a VIP

oh come on a friend went to dreamhack from Karachi. he is unmarried but employed and handsomely paid. 28 years old. this kid just applied at the wrong time. He could have attached letter of support from his parents but case was not strong enough because of past. and this isnt only for Pakistan. they just dont want any foreigners applying for asylum. and yes it goes for Indians the same way.
