If India & China go on war who will win?

limited war
ground fight-tie or edge to china
air supremacy-India
naval battle-edge china
Oh by the way thanks for doing me a favor by pointing out China will be the one blowing the Indian Navy up. The Indians here really believe they had China by the balls :D

Winning?
The only war US fought for land/base is Vietnam and we all know how it went.

Even recently, they are bogged down heavily in Iraq & Afghanistan.

If US can't defeat Vietnamese, how in the world you have a chance against India?

Vietnam war was a political defeat not a military one.

This has to be the biggest joke of this thread.
Come up with some same response & I will respond.

That was how majority Indians reacted to my idea of deploy Df-21D in Tibet, they're just hopeless and desperate even your admirals are having the sleepless nights . Some even threaten to use nukes if we made India Navy-less...LMAO

well China does have more warships and the Type 052C/D is on the same level as Areligh Burke, but it could go either way.

Having you guys around saves my energy, the debate with the Indians are going no where. So whom better ask than you and good old gambit :D

Vietnam war was a political defeat not a military one.

Agreed.
But do you know any war with the military being shielded from political decisions?

The reason I bring it up is in India - China context.

Any attack by China on India will be fought at various levels. The political one will be as important as the Military one & one can't be shielded from the other.

Case in point I always go back to is the logistics of China moving it's assets. This movement will be done by Military but facilitated by China's politicians. So does protecting it's Oil flowing through the straits. China alone can not protect it's supply chain of logistics of the war by itself. It needed a while lot of nations willing to back it up.
If they can't get other nations to back up it's logistics, China can not even start the war against India - that's a fact.

It's like us Indians getting off on Bramhos.
For you Df-21D is not a magic pill to win the war against India.

That's why I asked you to seriously think on how wars happen, what the objectives are etc..

You talk as if China does not have any soldiers who can be killed or Ships that can be blown or Cities that can be destroyed!

India has more war experience than China. That's a fact.

Regarding high sea war, this is again where it get's interesting.

India will fighting a defensive war, where as China is fighting an offensive one. How are you going to get all your naval assets to Bay of Bengal to fight India?

Look at the map of the sea routes and you will know exactly why China would not relish a sea war with India near India.

Sure India has more experience to fight weaker opponent, can't be sure if your experience will help to fight a bigger size such China and more better equipped or equally equipped as Indian force.

So, Pakistan is a weak opponent as per you? ;)
Not that I disagree but, ehm, a lot of your friends won't be happy with your assertion.

Anyway, India has 'the experience', where as China has none. If you have ZERO experience fighting no one, how can you expect to take on a decent military power like India?

Again, no one is telling me how China would manage the miracle of bringing it's navy to Bay of Bengal? :D

China deploys submarine in Indian Ocean Region even as India-China standoff continues
In an aggressive move, China has deployed a submarine in the Indian Ocean Region, as the month long stand-off in the Doklam plateau between the Indian and Chinese People's Liberation Army continues.

Wading through the Indian Ocean now is a Yuan class - conventional diesel electric - submarine which is better that aging Indian Sub. And this is not the first, but the seventh submarine to be deployed in the area.

The submarine is being supported by Chinese Naval Ship (CNS) Chongmingdao - the Chinese Navy's submarine support vessel. Indian assets picked up the submarine entering the Indian Ocean Region recently.

The Indian Navy has underlined the heightened Chinese People's Liberation Navy activity in the Indian Ocean Region to South Block. Chinese warships and submarines in Indian Ocean Region appeared three years ago 2013-14 - ostensible for anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden.

But from a modest beginning of a flotilla of just three warships - two destroyers and a support ship - in 2013-14, more and more Chinese warships are prowling in the waters around India.

WAR GAMES

Recently, Indian satellites and naval assets have picked up at least 14 Chinese Navy warships in the Indian Ocean Region. These include the latest Luyang-III or the Kunming class stealth destroyers.

Armed with surface-air and long range missiles the Chinese warships are projecting power far away from the Beijing's backyard but in India's immediate vicinity. The silver lining - India is constantly monitoring the movement of Chinese warships courtesy Indian satellites and long range maritime surveillance platforms.

The Indian Navy's long range surveillance platforms like the US made P81 has been watching and recording movements of the Chinese Navy in the Indian Ocean. "Over the years, we have augmented our capabilities manifold. More force multipliers are being added. We have the region covered as well," a senior officer told India Today.

The first Chinese nuclear submarine was picked up in December 2013. The Shang Class- a nuclear propelled submarine-was deployed for almost three months in the waters around India till February 2014.

It was followed by Song Class - diesel electric -submarine for another three months between August and December 2014. The Song Class followed by another nuclear vessel - a Han Class nuclear submarine. Last year China deployed a nuclear submarine - a Han Class Nuclear submarine - and a conventional submarine respectively.

WORRYING SIGN?

These boats were snooped around the Indian Ocean for over six months. The Yuan class submarine detected by the Indian Navy this year is first the submarine to be sent to the Indian Ocean Region in 2017. Worryingly for India, the increased warship deployment goes hand in hand with the deployment of Hydrographic, Oceanographic vessels and spy-ships in the Indian Ocean to map the sea bed.

Bathymetric data among other things detail how currents and noise behave at particular depth, the lay of the ocean floor are critical for submarine deployments.

Top sources told India Today that Chinese Naval Ship Haiwngxing -spy ship -entered the Indian Ocean this month. The spy ship equipped with sophisticated equipment is deployed to collect electronic intelligence among other things. It is capable of honing on electronic signals which can be returned to China for analysis. New Delhi has been told that the spy ship is the Indian Ocean region to monitor the annual tri-lateral India-USJapan naval exercise - Malabar that starts on July 7. The same ship was used to spy on previous Indo-US Naval exercises

true DF-21D is not a magic pill but thank to Tibet geographical location close to India, it will become a magic bullet to destroy Indian strategists dream to use Naval blockade against our oil tanker and merchant ship in Indian Ocean in time of war, this is call a strategic-Bargain: how much India is willing to lost the entire navy + other ship for sinking our merchant ships. And now with CPEC, we can get our oil supply via Pakistan and us Gwadar port for our merchandise import/export so it will less and less that India can hold China by the ball as majority of Indians claim.

Same thing can be said about our Bramhos and your whole Navy.

This chest thumping does not win wars. Like I keep saying, since China want's to attack, it's the logistics that will determine your success.

Until now, I keep asking you guys to let me know how you are going to get your hardware near India and you have no answer except to being in missiles.

Btw, do you think a country that has sent rockets to mars(something you have not done) don't have any missiles that can trouble you?
Seriously, stop deluding yourself & start talking 'logistics'.

Weak in term of Defense spending, give them the same budget of defense, you will be sure to face a deadly adversary, I will put all my bet in Pakistan side.

lol what kind experience India has on modern warfare beside border skirmish? doesn't India has experience to use attack drone? or and full scale coordinate attack...you have none as China.

well we will use Brahmaputra river to deliver our subs and warships to Bay of Bengal...satisfied answer? :D

Skirting my questions will not win the war for China.

Again, I ask, how are you going to move your Army, Navy & Air force near to India to attack us?

Don't be so fast to brag about your Brahmos , we have chini Brahmos too (CX-1), some Indians go even claim that we design CX-1 purposely to troll India

How you expect we get hardware near India when share the same border? :disagree:

And sure you can send rocket to mars and are you willing to use expensive strategic missile such Agni 5 or 6 to hit our boat while we use a cheap tacticle missile such as Df-21D, we can run an attrition war against India and see who's economy will first to collapse.

I can't believe the Indians are still talking about their Brahmos as if only the Indians have it, the unique weapon that India has. Even China has showed the picture of CX-1 some years ago here as we trolled the Indians, we got "Brahmos" too. But that's besides the point, China has plenty of arsenal not even depending on CX-1.
