Instead of the F 16 production line....just transfer the GE 414 production line to India...that would be a much better option.

You mean screw driver tech ? G.E already has screw drive tech production of engines in partnership with HAL.

Similarly they have a factory in Pune that on paper does production. In realty, they do assembly of component.

Their composite blades however are made in the US, Lower gen single crystal blades are made in UK.

So don't hold your breath just yet.

I don't think US will let us exports those, also rest assure you won't get spares from us in case of a Indo-pak conflict

Not a question of US. Once F-16 starts building here, they are subject to Indian export control laws. I however have no doubts that US wont share any tech on the Engine. Not even 10%. It would be better to go with SAAB and they are ready to move their entire eco-system to India. And Sweden- India can jointly explore selling jets. And then collabrate with SAAB for AMCA.

India does not have any significant export control laws. Nothing like the US at least.

US has no intention of letting go of its global control. Its built on Technology, Military power and Money. Technology being the key to rest of the two.

Its foolish to expect any significant ToT from the US.

We have. Export of Military items to Pakistan, China especially is banned.

So what ? If we are designated as global vendor, we will be exporting to the US and from there it will be shipped to pakistan if required.

Besides we do not have any tech that China wants. And what pakistan wants, they directly buy from the US.
