If Arab Oil Runs Out

I think countries like Russia who also have alot of oil would benefit.
Oil prices would would surge and Russia would be loaded.

you have source for this?

canada has the world's 2nd or 3rd largest oil reserve.

Sorry i misread the source...but Canada does import around 50% of its needs from abroad. Middle east countries account for 25-30% of this:

Importing oil from where?

Most Canadians are under the impression that we do not need to worry about our energy security. We see ourselves as a country rich in oil, and we assume that our own resources are available to us for consumption. That assumption is incorrect. Canadians do need to ask where their oil comes from because it doesn’t necessarily come from Canada!

Canada imports more than half of the crude oil it needs. We purchase around 55 per cent of our oil from countries such as Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. We are also turning increasingly toward new sources including Russian and African producers. Canadians should question whether we can count on those suppliers for a steady supply of oil.

Where does Canada’s oil come from?

this is all hypothetical thread. Keep dreaming and keep sharing your views

What if Bush was born in Africa?

Saudi's are blessed with not just oil my friends, stop day dreaming

They just cannot be emptied with natural reserves blessed by Allah.
Better stop dreaming and come back to life :)

Stop this stupid religious nonsense where people say that Saudi's are 'Blessed by God' thats why they have oil... These asshats used to consider it Mud before Gora's came and told them what oil was capable of doing lol... and if going by your stupid logic Canada is by far the most blessed country in the entire world... why?

It contains 20% of the entire worlds most cleanest Drinking water and 7% of Renewable Water which is worth far more than you can possibly imagine... so Allah has definitely blessed the 'Kafir' Canadians to eh??

you don't believe in god - keep it to yourself only

If we want to know what will happen If Arab Oil Runs Out:

First: Not all arab states Producing oil

Second: Lebanon and Jordan are not producing oil

Third: Depending on the CIA Factbook:

GDP per capita:
-Lebanon (2009) = 13100$ Higher than Venezuela, Iran, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Romania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, India, Pakiatan, South Africa

-Jordan (2009) = 5300$ Higher than Georgia, Honduras, Indonesia, Iraq, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan

Life Expectancy at Birth (years):

- Lebanon (2010) = 74.79 Higher than China, Colombia, Serbia, Venezuela, Hungary, Malaysia, Thailand, Estonia, Turkey, Iran, Ukraine, India, Pakistan

-Jordan (2010) = 79.92 Higher than (Believe it or not) Greece, Austria, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Germany, Belgium, UK, Finland, South Korea, Denmark, USA, Pakiatan, India

Literacy Rate for total Population (%):

- Lebanon = 87.4% Higher than Iran, Pakistan, India, South Africa

- Jordan = 89.9% Higher than Malaysia, India, Iran, Brazil, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE

The conclusion is that the Arab states need to successful management and not to oil, I think that Jordan and Lebanon as a result of lack of natural resources, were able to rely on themselves for development, and have become even better than some European countries

Remains to speak logically, Away from interpretations and misleading information, i Display following the List of countries by Human Development Index (HDI)>
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education and standards of living for countries worldwide.
It is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare.
It is used to distinguish whether the country is a developed, a developing or an under-developed country, and also to measure the impact of economic policies on quality of life.
The index was developed in 1990 by Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq and Indian economist Amartya Sen, Aim of view this list is to Clarify that the Arab oil states and non-oil, are not in bad shape as some try to appear:

That time we will pay 100$ maybe more for 1 liter.................. and arabs will turn back their real life :)

USA the biggest Oil consumer will suffer the most

Really it wont, USA has tremendous energy reserves in the form of shale and coal. Oil Shale and Other Unconventional Fuels Activities

The vast extent of U.S. oil shale resources, amounting to more than 2 trillion barrels, has been known for a century. Theres vast reserves of coal that can be made into oil, at the present time its just more cost effective to buy the oil from third world countries then to process shale and coal into oil...

For example today gas in the usa is 2.69 gallon, some day it will be ten or fifteen dollars a gallon, americans will be driving much more efficent and smaller cars but they can afford those prices.

Those that will suffer the most are poor third world countries.

Oil imports exceed $10 billion mark in FY 2009-10

By Tanveer Ahmed

KARACHI: Oil imports crossed $10 billion mark in the financial year 2009-10 on the back of growing demand of furnace oil for power generation.

Total oil imports came to $10.088 billion in the outgoing financial year against $9.508 billion a year back, registering a 6.11 percent increase, Federal Board of Statistics (FBS) reported on Tuesday.

What happens when its 30 billion,,,,how will the poor pay the power bill then.

Well america doesnt import more than 20% of its oil from arab world that too indirectly..Plus it has world largest oil reserves next door in venezula.

Most likely nations to suffer are China and India who are dependent on ME oil supplies.

Oil has another 40 years to go by that time India will be using its vast thorium reserves to fuel its energy needs.
