You forgot that we don't have existential threat because despite whatever our economic condition has been in last 70 years, we kept improving our defense capabilities - that's the reason any country think twice before adventure.

its good to have such comments these days when majority are deliberately speaking against military (atleast in media and politics) so that they may get a "plot" in US, UK or dubae. the military people or their supporters may get a plot in dha but those who are against military get plots abroad.

It is not the Army that people are now starting to speak against, it is the policies of the Military leadership, the increasingly overt and visible involvement in non-Military related matters such as politics and behind the scene engineering of alliances and court decisions etc.

Speaking against the unconstitutional activities of the Military should not be confused or construed to be anti-Pakistan or anti-Army. Those who are speaking against the policies of the Establishment would be standing side by side with their brothers in arms whenever required and any talk against the Army would turn into talk in favour of the Army as soon as the Army stops unconstitutional activities.

It's not the same Shoaib Akhtar I met 20+ years ago. Back then, that was a charming bloke...this man is having a mid-life crisis.

Eat grass? Tf is he out of his mind. I know he was quite comfortable living in India and hanging out with the Bollywood stars and supermodels.

But then Narendra Modi showed up as PM of India, and many Pakistanis who were living as permanent guests in India had to leave. Meera, Veena Malik, Atif Aslam, Umer Sharif....suddenly they all found out raat-o-raat that India had become unwelcoming to their presence.

Some of them stayed back like Adnan Sami and Salma Agha but they had to take up Indian citizenship.

Now Shoaib has to live among the Pakistanis full-time. Maybe he doesn't quite like it, so I can understand it might be taking a toll on him. Everyone misses their former partying life.

Shoaib, mayuus mat ho. That India where you used to party hard is now long dead. The whole country is now full of boring, stupid people who can't dance or produce quality music. All seriously creative artistes have left Mumbai, and that place has become a desert.

All the cool, super chic people in the city have vanished overnight. BJP-RSS are just a different version of the Taliban. They have killed all forms of good entertainment, party venues, good quality movies, music...nothing but cultural nihilists and destruction agents.

So Shoaib should stop his crying and move abroad if he doesn't like it there in Pakistan. He will never find the same welcoming environment in India any more. That India is now a thing of the past.

On topic: The man knows the value of first line of defence. Ask the nations being invaded and see how the poor Military was crushed without any due consideration to professionals. As long as you are strong with security, it's the enemy to worry about not you. Those who have so many issues will still live in a country and try to steal taxes as well as going through any route to save their so-called beloved money. Thats what your army made you believe...much smaller and militarily weaker countries than pakistan like nepal,bhutan,burma,bangladesh and sri lanka are thriving and slowly climbing the ladder of development...Sri Lanka is just 50 KM away from India and is doing exceptionally well..Bangladesh has overtaken pakistan and is surging forward.

the civilians should get ahead and take charge of their institutes if they are capable. army is not responsible for miseries of health , education, PIA, WAPDA,police , judiciary, railway, steel mill, rampant corruption in every institute, filthy condition of karachi,extreme poverty in sindh and baluchistan, poorly planned projects like peshawar BRT and orange line , feudal system in sindh, south punjab and baluchistan, bringing traitors like PTM to parliament, failed kashmir policy under leadership of the great mullah diesel, private school mafia, private hospital mafia, auto inductry mafia led by the big 3, panama scandal and the list goes on. if civilians do their jobs with professionalism, loyalty and vision army wont need to jump in. yes they are also pakistanis so they are bound to be corrupt to some degree as pakistani nation is a poorly groomed nation but still the award of "andhon main kana raja" goes to military. many of the politicians , media anchors etc are in direct contact with the anti pakistan elements and they are serving their masters. in army if some one is involved in such activities he gets punished immediately. i admit army made some errors the biggest one of bringing the mullahism in pakistan and MQM but they didnt do such things alone. they couldnt have done these things alone without civilian support.
