Muharram processions should be completely banned as a safety measure. Eventually Jummah and 5 daily salat as well. Our population needs to be ready.

The state has every right to enforce it with the barrel of a gun to protect the population as a whole.

Aid organizations and national drives should be set up to get food and medicine to underprivileged sections of our society.

In Pakistan, shias have become over sensitive. I remember my frnd was DC Peshawar and banned a shia procession because there were multiple intelligence reports of suicide bombers, i know him and he sincerely cared for the people. He was branded anti shia, wahabi, saudi dog and what not.
If we can fight TTP who are sunnis and have same ethnicity and sect and yet no one stood by them coz of this then shias should also put their sectarianism behind. They behave like jews, a single word and ur anti Semitic. Its become a joke in Pakistan, the state should get strict with any anti Pakistan things, be it sunni, shia or anyone.

A few points.

1. Every Pakistani should be free to criticize Iran, without being labelled anti-Shia.

2. Sensible debate and discussion should be allowed about Shia processions, holidays, travel, and terrorist groups (like Liwa Zanabiyuon)

3. We shouldn't have to prove we are anti-KSA too every time we comment on Iran or Shia militias

I blame the Pakistani state for letting this matter get too out of hand.

Sunnis and Shias should work together to find a solution acceptable to both, without conpromising our national sovereignty.

Cutting ties with Iran and Iranian influence seems to be the first step.
