What a dumb comparison. Pakistan has about a 3% minority population so why would you expect all these top slots to go to them? India on the other hand has what? 20, 25% minorities. And like ice wolf said, Muslim are woefully underrepresented.

What's the logic here. If minorities are 3/5%, then they should still be represented in that proportion, if we were to go by your logic. What difference does 15% (in India) make? They would still be a minority & like in most democracies can always be outvoted by the majority. The story here is in the acceptance of minorities in high offices. It is even more note worthy when you put it in context of the partition & 2NT or even a bloody insurgency just a little over 2 decades ago when the example of the PM or the CoAS comes up. Such acceptance rarely happens, even in what are considered the more developed democracies of the west. Otherwise the U.S. would not have gone ga-ga over the election of Obama who is as equal a white as he is a black & who had to frequently & continuously fight allegations that he was a Muslim.

A little bit of appreciating that couldn't hurt, could it?

So basically you people are butt hurt because 3% of the population is not running the country. So let me ask you this, why not the same outrage at the lack of Indian PMs in UK? Or how about Muslim Presidents in France?
Those two countries have over 10% minorities. And of course there is India itself.
