IDEAS 2014: Nigeria 'close to signing up' for JF-17

:partay:

Let us wait a couple of days to see. It is an unconfirmed report as of yet. I just got carried away with excitement because I trust the source. I would have waited for someone else to break the story and would have rather looked for confirmation. But since I have been following JF-17 program since 1993, I could hardly contain my glee.

Let us see. But some people badly need Burnol...

If this deal does go through then it would be a big boost to future sales.
Nigeria has been monitoring the JF-17 for a long time. Nigeria is an oil producing country and Pakistan is 00 fuel dependent so a barter deal can also be possible this will reduce foreign reserves that are sent out of Pakistan to pay for fuel.
pakistan apna 35% oil khuda paida krta 65% buy krta humain aik or oil refinery ki zarorat hai kyn k hum 5% khaam oil sale kr detay hain kyn k hum isay saf nai kr skaty or humain balochitan or qadir pur main oil mil skta as you know k hum waha sy gas b nikal rehay hain hum natual resources sy full hain agr thori himmat kr k dhond lain to

Someone with a chacha or mama in the PAF who hears drawing room gossip now and then.

At least more believable than pakistan getting some latest fighters from russia according to a minister and people already speculating that to be su-35:pakistan:

bold part seems more interesting and promising then Nigeria buying JF-17 before any contract are sign as we have many customer have shown interest Egypt were/are mulling but at the end nothing materialize . however i hope this time something will happens best of luck Pakistan .:enjoy:

Bro, air fighter deals do not happen overnight. Every detail has to be worked out in advance. From placing the tender to analysing all the bits and pieces. Much work goes into selecting an aircraft. Just look at the various fighter deals around the world and how long it has taken many countries to pick a suitable fighter. It's a long term investment and it requires a lot of time and many other resources. In contrast, the JF-17 is a fairly new fighter on the market. It has already caught the eyes of many nations which is a success in itself. Beyond doubt, a deal is eventually going to materialise. Reason being, the bang for buck offered by this platform is simply irresistible. Developing nations seeking an advanced, yet simple to operate multirole fighter are bound to opt for the JF-17. Additionally, this platform offers a solid weapons package. The operation cost is extremely efficient. Above all, it could come with ToT. Not to mention, in Pakistan/China the customer has a reliable end supplier for spares/training. Besides, there are very few options available for developing nations that are seeking a moderately advanced and cost effective platform. Pakistan/China have done their homework on this niche market. It's a matter of patience. The beauty of JF-17 is that it is a highly customisable platform. You get what you pay. The JF-17 is even a dream platform for air forces with budget constraints.

Hardly. Its just part speculation till proven. The minister would not know his Aim-9 from the AIM-120.. I doubt him know his su-35 from the 25.

Hi,

Thank you for your post---as a matter of fact there is no other aircraft available to any third world country with this package---AA BVR, AS smart weapons and the naval weapons package---. This aircraft is a little monster in the making.

Right on the money bro.

I fully agree with Mastan Khan that it is a little monster in the making given the capabilities it offers for a fairly reasonable price. However we need to hold on to our glee for the time when we actually have the deal signed. A lot can go wrong still and we could potentially still lose the deal. So lets pray hard and wait for the signing of the contract.

Are JF 17 thunder have the " electronic warfare " capabilities ?

.
They can't fulfil domestic orders let alone export, how many assembly lines will be needed?
