Idea of tolerance: Hindus in Pakistan to pay respect to Prophet Muhammad, promote Islam as peaceful

Accept it as tolerance, or else...

I recall this story from my childhood.

A student joins an ashram to learn Hindu Philosophy.

The Guru (teacher) teaches him the importance of controlling his Indriyas/Mind.

After many years of study, the student claims that he has learnt everything.

The Guru says Good, come prepared tomorrow morning for the test.

When the student shows up the following morning, the Guru says to the student that he failed the test.

The student gets shocked and asks how can you say that I failed the test without testing.

The Guru still sticks to his line that the student indeed has failed the test.

The student gets very angry and says you better accept that I have passed the test or else I am going to destroy the whole ashram.

To this the Guru responds by saying I was just testing how much control you have on yourself. By getting angry you have demonstrated that you have yet not mastered control on your mind.

The student realizes his folly and continues to study.

I think this was part of the early draft? of the Indian constitution too, thank 'god' they scrapped it.

maybe @Joe Shearer saab can shed more light on it.

Article 40 in the 1973 Constitution:

40 Strengthening bonds with Muslim world and promoting international peace.
The State shall endeavour to preserve and strengthen fraternal relations among Muslim countries based on Islamic unity, support the common interests of the peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America, promote international peace and security, foster goodwill and friendly relations among all nations and encourage the settlement of international disputes by peaceful means.

Pakistan takes it role as leader of the Ummah quite seriously.

Not good example. They are artists who will work if they have opportunity. India provided them with that opportunity. It's business.
It's rather other way around. Indians let them work in spite of all that happened in Mumbai, Kashmir, borders, so many wars. It just proves that Indians are not hate mongers.
And isn't the same not a good example; Bollywood is an artistic community/industry and quite far away from a common Indian. And you people often label them traitors and ugly liberals who should leave india.

Example is regarding work opportunity and acceptance of a Pakistani to provide him with work there. Are you really that dumb to miss that ? Iodine deficiency as a child ?
They are hired by Bollywood for their talent and stature. They are all household names and famous stars who have been offered work by Bollywood for their talent and stature. It was not that they went to India as a nobody from Pakistan and appeared in auditions et. I let the audience to decide who is suffering from iodine deficiency.

In my personal opinion, I am totally against any such exchanges and I want a total ban on such activities and cut of all sort of ties with India. Pakistan does not need India as we have so many Muslim countries with whom we have much more common in every aspect of life and we need to learn about their beautiful and graceful history instead of looking at the losers.

From my limited knowledge, I thought that Eeeshwar was God? Similarly in Christianity, God is God.

Good move..god is god whether he is Allah or Ram or Jesus.

Was I saying something different???? Muslims worship Allah, Hindus worship Ram and Christians worship Jesus. As far as regarding Hinduism, I know Ram is another form of Eeeshwar.

What insult? There was a perfectly straightforward statement made.

Was I saying something different???? Muslims worship Allah, Hindus worship Ram and Christians worship Jesus. As far as regarding Hinduism, I know Ram is another form of Eeeshwar.

@Hyperion

Eashwar or Eeashwar is a name peculiar to Siva, one of the trinity that represent divinity in its highest expression prior to the sublime unseeable all-pervading.

Ram is an avatar of Vishnu, another one of the trinity.

A Hindu might also invoke Brahma, the third in the trinity, in this kind of passage. A Hindu like me if he is a practising Hindu would instead of any of these invoke the Devi.

Think of Hinduism as being in one of three main streams - Saiva, worshipping Siva; Vaishnava, worshipping Vishnu, or Ram, or Krishna; Shakta, worshipping Shakti, in any form that she shows herself, as Durga, Kali, Chandi, Parvati, Lakshmi, Uma, and so on.

Using any one of these manifestations is fine; so, Muslims worship Allah, Christians worship Jehovah (God), Jews also worship YHWH; Hindus worship Siva(Eashwar)/Vishnu(Ram,Krishna)/Shakti(Durga,Chandi, Kali).

Let me know when you are ready to be confused further.

Christians worship the one God and this is the same God as is worshipped by Muslims and Jews.
Christians consider the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost to be one beeing and unseparable.
Praying to Jesus is thus praying to God.
At Church services, praying to Jesus is uncommon, to say the least, at least here.
Praying to the Holy Ghost is unheard of.
