IAF’s Heron UAV crashes in Rajasthan

According to media reports Israeli made Heron Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Air Force, used for surveillance, crashed at 3.15 pm today on the outskirts of Uttarlai . Heron UAV had taken off from uttarlai air base in barmer district of Rajasthan .

This is second crash of Rs 80 crore worth Heron Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in recent times last crash happened in November last year were a another Heron belonging to IAF crashed near Mankunva village, about 40km from Bhuj town in Kutch. Today’s crash damaged house partially but luckily know one was injured on ground .

Heron is a medium-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Malat division of Israel Aerospace industry. It is capable of medium altitude long endurance operations of up to 52 hours’ duration

Many countries follow unique numbering systems and units. In the US, volume is very confoundingly expressed in gallons, ounces, fluid ounces etc. Length in inches and miles. Weight in pounds. In Britain, I think they still use stone for weight.

It would be great if everybody used SI units. Unfortunately, most societies abhor change. India is not unique in that. There is a classic essay by Issac Asimov about why people should not fear change so much, especially with regards to units and measurements. He also wanted the QWERTY keyboard replaced by an ABCDEF keyboard for the same reason.

Rs 5000 crore to develop

I mean if you want this Indian numbering system then use it correctly !
After 99 Lakh is 1 crore
after 99 Crore is 1 Arab
after 99 Arab is 1 Kharab

So Rs 5000 crore is actually Rs 50 arab.

If you have "your ways" then use it in Indian forums not in Pakistani forum !!!
