But why not improve the CRPF infrastructure and introduce better training programmes instead ?

Quick fixes do not last long.

CRPF is reserve police..that is their job. Police is for policing, not an offensive unit at all. If India cannot use IA, then specialized units like the grey hound should be used.

They should be in small units..recon, attack, withdraw...swift and precise.

I think greyhounds were disbanded. Alas.

Its more than 40 years that Naxals/Maoists have been a menace to Indian State. The sooner we can snuff out them, the sooner we can move on and concentrate on developmental activities.
