IAF No Induction of Women

Alrite I take my words back, I change my opinion but the fact remains on biological grounds. But as I promised I won't post on this particular thread. BTW thanks for the Information,

Now listen to me, promise me you will keep your mouth SHUT if that ain't enough i can give you MORE
Great going ms. emo...You have no idea how much i love you for putting up post # 28....I will ensure my fiancee read it as well...Though if you can post more of these it would be awesome ...

*******************************************************************

Kinshuk you have already been stormed by some great reply's by emo_girl..So let me just reply to this one post of yours and then shut up and let you and emo_girl continue...

It's Rubbish???

Please backup your statement. That women are biologically at par with men.

Dude please read my post again...What exactly you mean by biologically at par with men??? Are you talking about physical fitness...pregnany issues, they being raped or what???...Typically these are the excuses that are given...Let me share my thoughts on them

Physical aspect : This one is crap...Every Army has a set standard of how much tough they want their soldiers to be...There is no reason to lower those standards because the person is a women becuase its lunatic to compromise with national security...However the same way if a women is able to stand up to all the challenges that Army curriculum throws at her counterparts(read men) than its equally lunatic to reject them saying they are week...Are you with me on this????

Pregnancy Aspect : This is the most lame one...Your service has a contract...I read a report few weeks back that a bunch of premature resignations from IAF pilots were blocked by IAF and is under review..In other words they are bound by contracts with IAF,...Why can't you bound them with a similar contract?????

Rape Aspect : This is rubbish and just show our mediocre thinking...Grow up this is 21st centuary dude...Women who are joining army with a aim of participating in combat are well aware of the tortures they cna be subjected to including rapes and what not....Interesting we are OK when women are raped every now and then on streets of delhi but when it comes to women joining the army we always snub them saying you will be raped...

B/W as per jenewa conventions there are international rules on how treat POW's...If any country violates them there are ways to handle it....Torture to men's is as grave a crime as raping a women in combat....

Emotional Ejaculation..
Not sure...though giving you my perspective....

I am not against it. But Please check out in what condition we recieved the dead body of our very own Ajay Ahuja from Pakistan. His body parts were cut, well I won't go any further. BTW I am not attacking Pakistan so please don't attack my post taken in that sense, It might be the same for the Pakistani soldier taken hostage.

Doesn't matter...If i go by your logic i will not even send my Son(though i am around 20-22 years away from such an honor) to army...Do you really believe that i would like to see my son mutilated like Ajay Ahuja???

Authorities are not idiots that they are not allowing women. It was discussed in very details on CNN IBN and NDTV 24/7.

Nothing like idiots...Its the typical male chaevounism....Also remember these so called authorities are also people like you and me who are brought up in a conservative society...So yes it is going to be a uphill task to change that mentallity...however the reasoning that is given to snub women is flawed...

And for your info, if they are not kids, then why the standards set for women are way less than what it is for Men, Don't just post your emotional ejaculation without knowing "A" about armed force selection..

See this is typical example two people on different pages...For you its an emotional ejaculation as far as my post is concerned...For me your post is nothing but a typical male chaevionist attitude suffering from 19 centuary mentality....

Anyways let me try to get you one the same page...

- This relaxation is because as of now women officers are for peace time jobs...They are not particiapting in active combats apart from peace keeping roles...

- When it comes to actual combat(if ever IA allows that) this relaxation will go for good...As said before it is lunatic to compromise on national security...All i ams aying is that If there are women worth enough who can serve the country then they should not be snubbed giving the above mentioned three pathetic excuses...Am i clear mate???

Kids!! lol..

Benchmarks are way ahead for men than women.. If women are not weak then why not have same standards....

it is exactly this attitude that is keeping us where we are....Anyways benchmarks and the jobs offered should be on merit and not on the basis of weather you are a creator or a producer of off-springs....

Also since you know so much about armed forces you might very well know how much technology is taking over the macho man personal strength...Having said that i am of stong opinion that women and men should be treated on par both on benchmarks for job on offer and the roles one is allowed to play...

Thanks Dekingraj I agree with all you guys 65 % times but still there are a few things but lets not talk about it.

Great going ms. emo...You have no idea how much i love you for putting up post # 28....I will ensure my fiancee read it as well...Though if you can post more of these it would be awesome ...

I can say it without any doubt that if there were no women Stalingrad would have fallen & Stalin would have reached Berlin in Chains & history would have been different

Man Killer: Lyudmila Pavlichenko

Major Pavlichenko mastered the art of stealth and recorded 309 kills. The black and white publicity photo was used in part, for a Soviet postage stamp issued in 1943 honoring the participants of the Great Patriotic War. It is part of a 5 stamp series. Color image shows the formal portrait of Major Pavlichenko.

sniper of all time was Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko, an Ukrainian. She was born on 12 July 1916 in the small village of Belaya Tserkov (the name means "white church" in Ukraine. As a child, young "Lyuda" was a gifted student. She had an independent streak and was very opinionated. When she completed ninth grade, her parents moved to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. She found work at an arsenal where she was employed as a grinder. She also joined a shooting club and developed her talents as a sharpshooter. When the Germans attacked the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, Lyudmila Pavlichenko was a 24-year-old student at Kiev State University, majoring in history. Like many of her classmates, she rushed to join the military to fight against the Germans. The recruitment officer eyed her in amazement. She looked like a model, with well-manicured nails, fashionable clothes, and hairstyle. Pavlichenko told the recruiter that she wanted to carry a rifle and fight. The man just laughed and asked her if she knew anything about rifles. She pulled out her marksmanship certificate and proved it. Then the recruiter tried to persuade her to become a field nurse, but she refused. She joined the Soviet Army as a shooter, attached to the 25th Infantry Division. In August 1941, Private Pavlichenko scored her first two kills near the village of Belyayevka when her unit was ordered to defend a strategic hill. She worked with a spotter. Her weapon was a Model 1891/30 Sniper Rifle fitted with a P.E. 4-power scope. It was a 5-shot bolt action rifle which fired a 148 grain bullet at 2,800 feet per second, with an effective range of over 600 yards. Anyone who has ever fired a Moisin-Nagant can tell you that it kicks like a mule! Pavlichenko fought for over two and a half months near Odessa and recorded 187 kills. When the enemy gained control of Odessa, the Soviet Independent Maritime Army was pulled out and sent to Sevastopol on the Crimean Peninsula. In the fierce fighting, Pavlichenko was wounded by a mortar blast in June 1942. At this time, her score stood at 309. The Soviet High Command ordered the wounded sniper to board a submarine and leave Sevastopol. She was a heroic rolemodel who had to be saved. Less than a month later, she became the first Soviet citizen to be

WHITE HOUSE VISIT

Jr. Lieutenant Lyudmila Pavlichenko was a guest of Eleanor Roosevelt at the White House in August 1942. She was a part of the USSR delegate to the International Student Service Assembly held in Washington, DC. When she toured Canada, the Winchester Company presented a special engraved rifle to her.
Guards Major Lyudmila Pavlichenko never returned to the fighting. As an instructor, she trained hundreds of snipers by war's end. On 25 October 1943, she became a Hero of the Soviet Union. After the war, the Heroine returned to complete her studies at Kiev State University. From 1945 to 1953, she was a research assistant of the Chief HQ of
In 1976, Hero Pavlichenko was formally honored with a postage stamp which bears her name.

Well I believe out of all the Blunders of Indian armed forces this is the one i feel the greatest shame.

I dont understand why Women have to be subject to different standards. They are loosing on a huge talent and recruitment pool.

and for a democracy that has done so many other things right for women in government potions. Its another thing done wrong here.

saying a women can leave, due complications. Only implies Women are less patriotic or duty bound then men. The armed forces should do better.

Frankly I am surprised they dont have rules granting a set number of years of service from any recruit that joins a branch and receives free training and education. Weather it be man or woman.

Jabar, whatever the economic, cultural and (you gotta agree to this) male chauvinistic reasons of keeping women out of the PAF, the passion of Pakistani women to join the PAF should be communicated amongst your peers in the air force.

It's a job. PAF's recruitment process needs to be improved to the level where they can effectively communicate to the female applicant about what is expected out of them and then evaluate whether or not they really fit to that criteria. I'm sure there'll be a lot of wanna fighter pilots signing up (and I'm sure thats no different for the men either), but its the job of the recruitment and the training process to separate the boys from the men (or the girls from the women).

The failure (although thats a strong word since some of them are still serving the nation in a lesser capacity) of those 10 or something female fighter pilots should not be the defining point of PAF's experiment with Pakistani women.

Thanks for making this point

Rape, Rape, Rape, Sex, Sex
these people can't think of anything else whenever word 'women' come to their mind

Yes EMO those factors exist, Ok actually I have a report that I need to submit today but Tomorrow surely I will put the info on factors related to Physical fitness and standards.

It is a known fact, if you just google you will find that benchmarks set for women induction are way less than for men all around the world. (there may be exceptions, I will post that aswell). Please consider that. Well on the other hand I tend to agree that yaa a women can be a man killer ok sorry as I said I won't argue in this regard.
But for the Info part, I will be able to post that tomorrow only because what all I said is just the raw facts I have read and heard. And I need to research them on internet.

Regards,

KS

Please interpret correctly, I very clearly mentioned I agree more than 60% of all you mentioned.

Keep your sarcastic and belligerent post to yourself. I will edit my post though.

The ban on women in combat is the last barrier to equal opportunity for military women. However, the issue cannot be resolved on the basis of equal rights but rather on the basis of mission effectiveness. The problem is that mission effectiveness is not measured by competence alone. There is much evidence to suggest that women would be competent as fighter pilots, or in any other combat role for which they are physically and mentally qualified. Women have not been kept out of combat because they are unqualified but because their presence makes men uncomfortable.
The idea of a woman being tortured as a prisoner of war is unbearable for many men because it somehow implies that they have failed in their role as protector. If women are to be smoothly integrated into nontraditional military roles, there must be some cultural reconditioning.
