We all seem to forget that it was not about MiG-21s (they were gifts). It was what the PAF boys with their Mirages did across the LoC. That was the real operation.

Pakistan has not attacked Mi-17, it was a usual crash by India.

There are other ways to sabotage aircraft. The PAF didn't down it though --- you are correct.

Could it have been launched to get the downed Mig21 pilot in IOK and had a technical issue and crashed? Confirms that there was a 2nd Mig21 that crashed in IOK at this Mi17 was the search and rescue helicopter.
