IAF Formally Inducts BrahMos-1 Block-3 Into Service

What? :what: IAF inducted land launched version, why??, initially I though it would be for Su-30s or maybe for Mig-29s.

If you have posted to show that IAF will use land version to take out air bases then it means IAF don't feel potent enough to fight a war, because they are air force and they have all tools available to launch strikes on PAF bases even from standoff range with air launched Brahmos. IA have the role to take out all ground targets from ground launched weapons including air bases. PA will use Babur CM to take out IAF bases not PAF, as PAF will use Ra'ad air launched CMs to do that.

What is the problem if IAF uses Brahmos GLCM to take out PAF bases ??

It will end up just as a hypersonic missile .
Kurup....if India and Russia actually start getting success in this direction then US might actually come up with Hypersonic missile test ban.
This so because US and other countries like China have repeatedly faced obstacles in this field.
Some do propose that a ban on flights of any aerodynamic vehicle of less than 15 meters length or 2 meters diameter, traveling in powered or unpowered flight at speeds in excess of 1 kilometer per second, over a horizontal distance greater than 100 kilometers, should be made. The numbers suggested here would permit Russia and India to retain their BrahMos 1 supersonic cruise missile, while forcing them to cancel the hypersonic BrahMos.
The United States and China would then be permitted to develop supersonic systems comparable to BrahMos 1 but would have to cancel their hypersonic programs. And this is the reason no such ban has been brought about.

.
Which is also why the advantage of BVR weapons reduces.. There is little warning to be had in terms of sneaking in attacks...
Aircraft will have little time to use more than two missiles before they are in close range.
Not exactly sir because India has lot of AFBs situated far from PAFs AFBs. Although Pakistan also has some AFBs away from India. Also both countries have mid air refuellers for helping fighters taking of from safe distance.

.
Congrats India
hope you will compete us in next 10 years :P lol
Just for fun

compete with you? are you even a competition? for we are not going to paint M9, m11 and nodong missile green and call them gauri, babur saheen etc. just for fun:D

mate, what is the actual range of brahmos?? most of them knows its current range is 300km

im not poking the brahmos to hit paf bases. obviously it doesnt matter whether the PAF bases got hit by IAF or brahmos, certainly so many things will do the job for IAF.

Nothing wrong, just its not their job if you see how big air forces operates.

Both IAF and PAF have tools to inflict damage on each other bases from standoff distances and both have tools to defend their bases too.

Yes I understand what you are saying but that was never going to be a reality for Brahmos. I think there was a news, last year may be to make nirbhay a loitering weapon. But tyhats been kept for a later stage
