You are right Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but it was Bush's agenda to turn the attention from Bin Laden. If you notice Clinton was trying to assasinate Bin Laden but didn't succeed & ultimately it was Obama who got him. Bush had vested interest in not getting Bin Laden & that is the only reason he remained scot free all these years. If you know the dubious way Bush came into power & the people he had connections with, you'd see his reason not to get Bin Laden. Once Afghanistan was free of Taleban, instead of going for the final kill (getting Bin Laden) he turned his attention to Iraq. After that it was just talks about getting Bin Laden & no real efforts, till Obama came to power.
