Which was this vaccine ?
Astrazeneca one manufactured by Serum Institute of India.
BoJo had received COVID-19 vaccine manufactured in India by the Serum Institute of India (SII). Serum Institute had partnered with British-Swedish giant AstraZeneca to manufacture the vaccine in India.
So Boris Johnson could have got jabbed from the same vaccine manufactured in Australia as well. Where is the "Indian jab" in this as if India had created the vaccine ? This fellow is just flattering Modi to cut some military and other deals.AstraZeneca takes responsibility for the safety, effectiveness and quality of all the COVID-19 vaccine made in our global supply network of manufacturing facilities across Europe, North, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. This means that every batch made in our supply network must meet the same exacting production and quality standards.
So SII was a manufacturer of the vaccine and not the creator. From the website of AstraZeneca :

BoJo is quoting it as a example and template for future partnerships.
That is UK will design and deveop products and allow license manufacture the goods in India if there is market for that product in India.
That's the way to go. Britain is too small a market compared to their innovation and development of products. Their labour market is also uncompetitive. Chinese copy their tech and shut doors to British companies. USA develops their own or gives peanuts to them. India is the only market where they can commercialize their products, sell to huge local market, import to UK at competitive price and also export to world market with good profit margin.BoJo is quoting it as a example and template for future partnerships.

Yes, Make in India as opposed to the real deal Made in India which should have been realized decades ago but didn't because of India's unscientific education and employment system.
Made in India was a Congress policy.
Modi's policy is Make for India.
Modi hain toh Mumkin hain
I think we should take what we can get to build our base really.Sadly there was never a Made in India.
