Tourism contributes greatly to the economy, in this regard Italy is blessed. But I can understand the annoyance, we suffer the occasional meltdown in London as well, but then such disgruntled thoughts are quickly whisked away when we remember such folks have come all the way to see the country and appreciate its culture and beauty.

i love the tourists in london, central london is always buzzing/happening place because of them.. sometimes i just walk in oxford circus just to feel good...

Looks like a great place to go. OP, you realise that by posting this, you're advertising for tourists like yours truly to visit your town in even greater numbers.

I´m in a reenacment group and my comrades and i portray renaissance city guards. We are not for photos but for cultural events. A bank here had a event and we were present..."guarding" the entrance of the Rotunda. And again and again people stand next us to make pictures and so on..

Are these guards similar to those Swiss/Papal Guards?

Quite an old town , I bet the food is super expensive (heard rumors) , france / italy charge hefty for even a small drink let alone big meals

Our style is similar. I might add some pics later. But we are no real guard. Its more for show and pictures and tradition. We have no power to arrest someone or anything

But down there its really bad. The area is a bit remote and hard for heavy machines to go there.

Ugh!! Well the trend now is to pull your kids out of school for a week to avoid the headache crowds when everybody's kids are not in school.
