What's new

I hate my girlfriend, because i love my car.

yeah, but the E-Class merc really gets me off my seat. That one is class.

new Benzes are quite alright, very smooth and becoming increasingly powerful. Benzos are good for straight line performance. When it comes to handling, i could outdo any C-class Kompressor or SL in an RX-7 or an ///M3. Benzes are just too heavy; except maybe the SLS or SLR which are a whole other category altogether

for a reasonable price, i can get a 1999 CL600 coupe --the big wide body ones. I'll pay a fraction of the price and still have a V-12 and almost 350 horsepower (to the wheels, not just the crankshaft). And it's a sexy motherf*ckin car.

I'm obcessed with all pre-2000 Mercedes Benz models; especially the ones from late 70s and 80s.

^^^ Nice car. We must plan a GTG for Spring 2012! ;)

it's not with me anymore.....

but i'll tear your Vette a new hole with a '94 Integra GSR turbo that i'm currently building.

i'm in the states till fall, so i'll take you up on your offer

Deal!

Funny choice of a high-winder for someone who loves torque.

Let's take this to PM to plan. :)

yeah, mercs are more sleekish and stylish, but the beamers are more better handlers, barring the CLK's and all.

But on pure looks and beauty and elegance and powerness, merc all day.

it's gonna be a track-car

It's always been the case too.....but even BMWs are starting to get heavy

if you want a very enthusiastic handler and performer at a cheap price, you go for E36 ///M3 --the chassis model from early/mid 1990s. Those things could haul -in straight line and around bends and curves. Very stable car.

I prefer a Nissan then, a bit cheaper than the BMW, but the M3 is a good car.

Makes sense, on a tight track. But FWD?

well the manufacturer chose to make it FWD so what can i do about it.......i'll tell you right now, that on a cold day i will be spinning well into third gear....

i'll still crush your Vette. This car will be running 11 seconds 1/4 mile (400 meters) time. We've already dropped in the turbo and are in the process of getting it dyno'd and tuned.

our other project is a 1993 Lexus SC400 coupe with a 2JZGTE swap; but i wont get carried away on that....there's a time for everything ;)

So you want to race a prepped track car with a bone stock 5 year old Vette? Do you have any sense of fairness my good man?

get an LS7 from a donor car and swap it in....throw on a blower run it at 19 psi and then lets talk
