How many of you back in India are going to protest in support of Jan Lokpal bill. I think its enough of corruption, scams and lies. We need to fight once more for last time. Remember one scam was as big as 4% of our GDP if invested in right place it could have changed future of Education system or Defense sector or both totally.

MY dear Indian members especially living in big metro cities, take out some time, go and join protest, even 5 minutes spent there is like being part of GOOD change.
We as Indians would STAND and WIN again.

I just got back from there. I'll probably go on Saturday too. Wanted to join the fast as well, but the 5 feet high speakers placed in the fasting area were playing terrible music at full volume. That made me decide otherwise.

It is not as organized as I expected it to be, but in comparison to other agitations, it is still easier to wade through the crowd and find right kind of people to talk to. I also did some service throughout the day and night, and seeing the size of crowd visiting everyday, it sure is the biggest agitation I have seen on Jantar Mantar. Almost everyone appeared to have thoroughly memorized the Jan Lokpal Bill and the possible cuts the government may want to introduce, but few are mature enough to do their bit in an organized fashion.

The surprising part is, the older people are more enthusiastic about it than the youth, whose power is being hailed in almost every slogan there.

@Killeragent - Your fasting will not be as effective unless people come to know about it. You ought to write about it on FB or twitter or whatever portal you use to connect with a lot of Indians, esp those who are taking part in it.

Oh one interesting trivia I wanted to add -

When I got there, I joined the first group marching in. It was some Jamia group from Okhla area. The person standing next to me, a Muslim with his cap on, suddenly shouted, "VANDE MATARAM". I just couldn't hold myself and shouted the same right after him, along with the crowd. He kept on shouting such slogans and soon got on the stage along with another fellow in the same Islamic attire. Then came the heartwarming moment - They both started their speech with... guess what? - GAYATRI MANTRA!!! After that, they read something similar quoting GURU GRANTH SAHIB, and then they quoted some verse from THE BIBLE, and then they went on "Buddham Sharnam Gachchhami....." and in the end they quoted THE HOLY QURAN!!!

That was the message they wanted to convey - We were all there for the sake of India, irrespective of our color/creed/caste or religion!

' Jai Bharo Andolan ' has been declared on 13th of april all over India. I Am going to Azad Maidan Mumbai to support this , doesnt matter If any of my friends come or Not , I am going to show my support. A 73 Year old man has take a step to fight against corruption and Its our duty to support Him. Anna saheb Hazare has been doing this for last 30 - 40 years though he never got support that He is getting Now.
