Too big an amount. They launched 2.2 ltrs version in India some three years back. Top model was priced 3.2 millions inr (around $ 46000 USD)
And still it received luckworm response.
They are charging you people too much.
16.5 to 18 million for 2.4L trim of santafe..
Are they drunk or what.

There goes our dream of good cars at a comparatively reasonable price...
Instead of big 3 we will probably end up with big 5 or big 6 now.
The highest trim 2.4L santa fe costs just about 120,000 qatari riyal.. Which is 45 lac 60 thousand (4,560,000). This price includes all duties, shipment and taxes.
For the sake of ease lets make it 4.6 million. Now if we add in 200 percent duty (which is not true as its a green field investment) even then the price should be 13.8 million at max.
Hyundai would not be paying taxes and duties on santa fe sent to pakistan and would also not be paying duties as part of green field investment.
Its criminal.... I have driven 2.4, its a gud suv, but 2.4 trim is under powered and does not deserve this price.
