Earlier this month, Hyundai Nishat Motors announced that their manufacturing plant is ready for operation in FIEDMC’s M3 Industrial City.

Earlier, the CEO of Nishat Group, Mian Mansha, said that the plant is capable of manufacturing both cars and light commercial vehicles and has a production capacity of 7,000 vehicles. But newer information has come to light and according to it, the plant has an annual capacity of 15,000. In the first stage, the Porter H-100 pickup will be the company’s first “made in Pakistan” vehicle.

As per sources, the plant has been established with an initial investment of $150 million and the company plans to invest another $230 million soon to boost its production from 15,000 to 30,000 units annually by 2023.

Aside from the pickup, it is looking to introduce three passenger car models and reportedly the first one is set to be launched in June 2020. The company has said that in the starting phase they will only produce 20-25 units of the H-100 on a daily basis and that the plant will operate one shift daily.

. . .
Made in Pakistan or assembled in Pakistan? If they actually make them in Pakistan - the initial cost of investment will be higher, but long term they'll be able to put cheaper vehicles on the market and be acle to corner the market.
First let them gwt a foothold in the market.

. . .
The main issue is gonna be the Price of these cars. The car prices are going sky-high out of reach from the buyers
Bilkul, And what’s more, these cars are not upto standards

I don't think it's easy to get a foothold in our market selling $20,000 cars. I think if they can do a mid-level sedan and under cut Toyota/Honda - they'll do very well.
I love the sonata series but that would be too expensive in Pakistan

. .
It is 20 days production for proper car plant.
This is their initial production capacity for the time being.

They can’t afford to mass produce as Honda and Toyota, rolling out around 150 vehicles per day AS they are new, lack of awareness and marketing, Expensive, auto industry is at it’s worst these days.

Slow production is 20-30 per units per hour
do the math. If it less than that then waste of resource and high cost production output

If your are trying to match with indian auto industry then you are doing the wrong thing. Your auto industry is in a good shape and cars are for reasonable prices and features. We had an amnesty in july, after which black money circulaton has come to much a halt. This black money was the driving force of auto and real estate sector as well as import and export

Its a pickup & price will not be high. First They are not High Tech. Secondly People already have Options in market. Earlier Hyundai Pickup(Shahzore) was only player in that Size category.
