It's bigger than our biggest city.

I'm not proud of Wuhan being big, China has enough big cities. I'm proud that Wuhan has 1 million students currently studying in Wuhan. However, most of them will go to Pearl River Delta(most technicians in Guangzhou were educated in Wuhan). But now, with increase in local salary and living standards, more and more graduates consider settling down in Wuhan.

I'm not proud of Wuhan being big, China has enough big cities. I'm proud that Wuhan has 1 million students currently studying in Wuhan. Mostly, these shopping centres were built on the original "slums" in Wuhan, it's called 旧城改造（redevelopment of old city).

I mean they are studying in Wuhan. In China, students live on campus, very cheap accommodation, in my college in Shanghai, 1200 yuan per year.
There are at least 50 universities or colleges in Wuhan, 2 are Top10 of China.

Good news bro! Hypermarket & supermarket are necessity of life, wish you guys have more and better retails outlets!

Here in Shanghai that's already daily life, here is an neighborhood market operated by CRC (China Resources Corp, 华润集团) ...

People are just people, its the same everywhere. Politicians and hard core ultranationalist are the ones that cause all the troubles and when the troubles come, they never suffer the consequences, the regular people do.

Which city did you visit in Vietnam?
Foreign chain always at suburb area, except Lotte.

Domestic marts like Fivimart, Intimex, Hapro mini mart, Citimart, Coopmart ... in the center.

China traditional markets in your location look clean and convenient.

We have a bad habit. To buy alive chicken and make the seller prepared everything and bring to our kitchen. Really bad habit.

That traditional market its very nice indeed, but I would say that's an upscale traditional market; I've seen much simpler ones too. The worse traditional local markets that I've seen, in Thailand, by very far, very unhygienic and dirty.

Its best to have both, the large supermarkets and the local traditional markets, they complement each other, each one has many products that the other one doesn't have and local markets are usually cheaper also.

Me preparing dinner? I don't know how to cook man, cooking for me is just to warm up something in the oven (something that is already done).

I like the local markets in Danang, they are quite nice and clean and they have a lot of things. There are also much smaller ones, like street or semi street markets, mainly for fruits and vegetables, very simple, but I feel ok buying there. With me being a foreigner, I have to know the prices or some of them will overcharge me since I'm a foreigner and for those people, foreigner means stupid and rich, which is actually neither one of those usually.

The supermarkets is where I buy most things and those things are not available in the local markets anyway.

I'm very simple for food, noodle dishes are enough for me, sinh to (smoothy), that does it most of the time, some fish sometimes. I'm 90% vegetarian anyway.
