Hundreds of lockdown-hit animals die at Pakistan pet markets

.
Dawn News nowadays is against Federal government only.

Some people are saying that someone has made videos of dead animals in the cages.. I don't know, I haven't watched them.

Anyway, we have seen in the past too, how people kill animals in Pakistan. It's not new to Pakistani society. So many animals in and around indus basin have now become extinct. Forget animals, people have cut down local trees such as neem and peepal that they now seldom sighted when you travel from Karachi towards north.

There is a user name newbie here. He owns lions and whatnot and videos of Pakistanis advocating for business on youtube.

The worst part regarding that nonsensical piece of journalism is that nobody will get fired and nobody will have the shame to resign. Rather, the journalists at Dawn will pretend to be victims of some conspiracy.

Just like in the government

Unless heavy fined are imposed and cancellation of licenses don't take place, it's not changing. But the question remains, who is gonna do that?

Abandoned when Pakistan's largest cities went into lockdown, hundreds of caged cats, dogs and rabbits have been found dead inside pet markets hurriedly shuttered as the coronavirus spread.
Survivors from the specialist corner of Karachi's sprawling Empress Market were only rescued after activists appealed to the authorities for access.
Two weeks into the shutdown, Ayesha Chundrigar could hear the cries of the pets from outside the shops, which together housed up to 1,000 animals.
"When we got inside, the majority of them were dead, about 70 per cent. Their bodies were lying on the ground," Chundrigar, who runs ACF Animal Rescue, told AFP.
"It was so horrific, I can't tell you."
Starving and locked in cages with no light or ventilation, the survivors sat amongst the dead, trembling."

No humanity.

Very sad ... as lock-down is not so severe in Pakistan it seems to be negligence of some individual business owners.
