Human Development Index: Pakistan remains stagnant at 146

Bangladesh improved 4 ranked in human development and reduced poverty 10 percent...when India improved their human development rank 1 and reduced poverty 2.6 percent...
Good for both countries

.
146,142, 135..... It just shows we all are in the same sh!t........ May be a step or 2 deeper..... We keep fighting each other and try to pull each other down in every possible chance..... If you look down there is only 42 countries worse than us..... After 66 years as independent nations we still are stuck where we are....

Whom to blame?.... If you ask me..... 1) senseless politicians 2)corruption 3)Religion 4)Lack of education..

. . .
in the same index , iran is 0.742 and turkey 0.722

but brunei is 0.855

these indexes do not take into consideration a lot of facts . which make them worthless

all that aside , the score of both pakistan and India are extremely low :( whats up with that ?
cause we r corrupt people with huge egos n misplaced priorities:D

Absolutely right...We the sub continent peoples are too emotional that we value our sentiment than our future development and fight each other...We should learn these things from westerners

Take a look at the scores from 10 years ago and you will see that we made great leaps forward.

Right now, India`s average HDI is on medium level

still as i said , i dont think that these indexes are accurate .

i dont think ppl in brunei (with an score of 0.855) have better life condition than ppl in india for ex.

these stats are just not right

.
no you're not :(
but i shall agree with misplaced priorities , cause thats the case for all of us .

from iran to india and beyond :(
India is a big country and there is a huge difference in development between the Indian states.
There are Indian states that are quite well developed but there are also Indian states which are underdeveloped.

There is nothing to be proud of for Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The situation is bad, any improving is the bare minimum that these nations must do.

problem here is people does not want to discuss real tough problems but they have championed in mud slinging n sick measurement whereas truths n reality in entire Subcontinent is gloomy....
I bet hardly people are interested to discuss the real issue here ...... Lets see.....

It does look gloomy initially, but I think there is some movement in the right direction. Poverty elevation just can't be done in one day, needs good governance, something none of the subcontinental nation can claim. In each country be it india, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, or Bangladesh it always been me first, my party first and my nation last mind set.

People are generally feed up with politics, politicians and corruption but have little choice. Let's hope the next generation are made of better things.

Dear i don't want to go into deeper but we are still a country behind in many parameters.... Also pace of improvement is slow.....
