Short term profit with no prospect in the long run. Huawei 5g’s ten thousands patents are worthless because the company is excluded from 5g standard setting body.

Even if Huawei is allowed to re-enter, country as Vietnam and allies will oppose any rule that favors Huawei patents. We don’t want to be blackmailed by Huawei.
