How Xi Jinping Blew It

Not really. China is more independent than Japan, Korea, or Europe in term of chip.
Did u read this news yet ?? All big CN chips factories seem already stalled/dead .

----
the South China Morning Post, citing Chinese corporate registration records, reported that authorities in Wuhan’s Dongxihu district have seized control of Wuhan Hongxin Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (HSMC) following months of delays in the construction of a $20 billion semiconductor manufacturing plant that was to have been one of the most advanced in China.

Construction at the plant has been stalled since August; the facility appears not to have produced much of anything. The company’s chief executive has resigned and fled the country. The local government’s plans for the plant and sorting out the company’s debt obligations remain unclear.

News of HSMC’s travails came two days after a prominent Chinese credit rating agency declared that Tsinghua Unigroup, 51% owned by Tsinghua University-controlled Tsinghua Holdings, had defaulted on a privately-placed domestic bond worth $197 million. Unigroup owns one of China’s biggest mobile chip designers and controls Yangtze Memory Technologies Co. in Wuhan, which makes flash memories. Unigroup’s financial woes puzzled analysts because the company has enjoyed generous state-backing in years past; in 2015, Unigroup made headlines by attempting a $23 billion takeover of U.S. memory-chip maker Micron Technology.

Stumbles at HSMC and Unigroup highlight how difficult it will be for Beijing to realize its goal of achieve self-sufficiency in semiconductors by 2030.
So, you're okay if your women folks are "LOVED LONG TIME" by horny white men? You can't be that sadistic.
Dont derail the thread. Nothing to do wt VN here.

Why r u so desperate for trolling and derailing thread ?? U r used to be a fair guy.

Yes. So?

So ? CN plan in making her own chips is stalled /dead.

If u still ask "so ?" then I have nothing else to say.tks in advance.

You have no idea what you are talking right?

Have you ever heard SMIC? HuaHong Semiconductor? They are alive well.

SMIC also produce chip for US' Quallcomm. Their technology is even better than any fab from Europe and Japan, even better than US' Intel or Global Foundry.

Do not brag thing you dont know/understand.

Wow, so u believe SMIC is independent CN company?? Why dont u check where SMIC got key production equipment from ?? And who this company listen to ??

---
Early last month, China's leading chipmaker, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), indicated it will abide by the U.S. rules and stop selling chips to Huawei. Like all of the semiconductor foundries, SMIC relies on U.S.-based companies to obtain key production equipment.

I didn't say SMIC is fully independent. I said China is more independent than Europe, Japan, and Korea for chip. Maybe I am wrong about Japan and Korea, but for sure not for Europe.

everyone in the world is against you...and your answer is 'they are all bad'
Thats why we call Cnese as Ah Q. Ah love bullying the weaker, but when the stronger bully him, he said "they r all bad ".

Thats why no surprise while Xi blew a chance to make CN become a better/ friendlier nation than US.

CN is bullied by US, when she thought US is weak, instead of calling for support to build a better world , she start bullying the others. And the ending is always poignant and satirical ( all countries hate CN and slap hard ban to 5G and Hikvision, plus 25% tariff) :laughcry:

------------
The story traces the "adventures" of Ah Q, a man from the rural peasant class with little education and no definite occupation. Ah Q is famous for "spiritual victories", Lu Xun's euphemism for self-talk and self-deception even when faced with extreme defeat or humiliation. Ah Q is a bully to the less fortunate but fearful of those who are above him in rank, strength, or power. He persuades himself mentally that he is spiritually "superior" to his oppressors even as he succumbs to their tyranny and suppression. Lu Xun exposes Ah Q's extreme faults as symptomatic of the Chinese national character of his time. The ending of the piece is equally poignant and satirical.

As I know, Samsung can make her own chips Exynos without US tech. Thats why Huawei tried to buy Exynos, but finally Samsung stop the deal to avoid US anger.

@Kai Liu, Can you Google the word, "world" for me please?
Indians have a problem with definitions.

So basically this entire crap article is saying that because opinion polls show that people in countries like the UK or Japan don't like China that means China failed, who gives a flying F what US lapdogs think of China.

These dogs can bark as much as they want, the Chinese caravan will continue to move forward. America's minions will ofcourse hate a China that rivals the US, the only case in which these minions would love China is if China becomes a decadent country like India or an obediant one like Japan.

Exactly. Xi realized the truth: it's irrelevant who likes who because it can change quickly in response to media propaganda. Australia went from 50% positive to 70% negative before 2020 did anything.

Given that now we recognize who really controls public opinion the easiest thing to do is to impose costs on them for attacking China. If they want the punishment to stop then they need to change their behavior. It's amazing how they write MORE anti Chinese propaganda, expecting China to stop punishing them for writing anti Chinese propaganda.

CN keep begging Aussie and JP to join RCEP to make CN look Good, then u have to keep begging and let them do what they want ( blocck 5G, Hikvision, interfering more in Uighur-HK issues).

Otherwise, they will leave RCEP and CN will lose face

They can leave RCEP any time they want. Aus is still being sanctioned right now.

I'd worry more about Vietnam. Now Vietnamese labor is completely unprotected against Chinese competition. How fast do you have to move your tiny little hands to compete with Chinese robots?

If u attack their warships patrolling in SCS ( east vn sea), waiting for a chance to support HK students and TW separatist, Im sure they will leave.
Thats sad, I told u guys many times that Adidas have to closed shoes factories managed by robots. Samsung also make phones by robots (maybe CN forced them to use workers to make phones, thats why they left ) and they still nid thousands workers for checking, testing, packing etc.

So, bragging abt robots only make u look so dumb wt Zero knowledge abt doing business.

its because Vietnamese labor is super cheap and you make starvation wages that robots are more expensive in things your workers can do, like sew women's underwear or shoes.

but when it comes time to make real products, you can't compete.

$14 billion USD company, how many socks do your little hands have to sew to beat this?
