the British instilled hidden evil obedience into SOME modern Indian minds as we can observe from the thread replies. Until these minds out of Indian mainstream India won't even be real modern nation.
Influenced by the Bhagvad Gita and Hindu beliefs, the Jain religion and the Christian teachings of Leo Tolstoy, Gandhi moved on the path of Satya and Ahimsa. Satya meaning truth and ahimsa meaning non-violence were the two weapons that Gandhi used to fight the enemy.
Gandhi inspired people to boycott British goods and refuse earthy possessions. This movement was known as Swaraj and was economically significant because Indian home industries were virtually destructed by British industrialists. He advocated renewal of native Indian industries and began to use a spinning wheel as a token of return to simple village life. Thereafter, he constantly began promoting satyagraha, non-violence, non-cooperation and swaraj to achieve independence. Finally, in August 1947, the British were forced to leave India.

India as a country benefit from British India. Without the British, there won't be an India. It would composed of many princely states with a Muslim empire and a Hindu empire some where in the Indian subcontinent. So India should regard Britain as the mother country and the queen the head of the state.
Yes just like the Han chinese still regard mongol Yuan empire as their own and Kublai khan territories as their own
The effect of British colonisation on Aboriginal people
Between 1788 and 1900, the Aboriginal population was reduced by 90%. Three main reasons for this were the introduction of new diseases, loss of land and loss of people through direct fighting with the colonisers.

Dude it doesn't matter how much you play with the words, the fact that only thing in between PRC's boots and Taiwan's a$$ is US. If not for US you would have become PRC's part a long time ago. So its high time that you make a Black American Obama as your head of state and not some Hans.
Indian growth story started in 1991 and see who was in power then. As for her dig at Sonia Gandhi...most Indians are not xenophobic like you.
India copied Pak reforms in 1990s
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said India copied his government’s initiatives in the 1990s.
Sharif said Indian reforms that were initiated in 90s by the government of Narasimha Rao were influenced by industrial reforms initiated by his government in Pakistan, reports the Daily Times.
Sharif was the prime minister in October 1990 and initiated an ambitious economic programme. In June 1991, Rao became the Indian prime minister and appointed Manmohan Singh as the finance minister. Soon the rupee was devalued and Rao abolished industrial licensing and other socialist measures which India had not adopted until then.
"If not for corrupt governments that followed later, Pakistan would have been on the path of economic growth by now," said Nawaz. He criticised President Asif Ali Zardari and former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, and also blamed the two for the increase in conflict and militancy in Pakistan.
Calling upon Pakistani nationals living abroad to come forward and help change Pakistan, Sharif said returning him to power would be the only way for Pakistan to once again move forward towards economic progress and social stability.
India copied Pak reforms in 1990s: Nawaz Sharif
one more news for you as below. Pakistan was one year ahead than India in liberalization of its economy. I think, if MR Nawaz Sharif might be power in India then he might have done the same economic liberalization one year before in 1990? this way, at least Indians could say that its their own open market policy under its own leader which accelerated its growth since 1991, which was not copied from Pakistan
And our economy is right now the second fastest growing economy in the world and is becoming one of the major competitors in the business world. I don't see Pakistan in that list. What happened in between....Point to remember is both the countries were democracy and had two parties ruling them at that time till 1999.
