How to tackle and reduce Air Pollution ?

.
you should just save everything in a text file and copy and paste :lazy:

Oh ! :o:

But I once copied the people , Who I tagged before .
I pasted it and posted the comment , But none was tagged:cry::cry:Instead they became only text .

Electric cars get their electricity from power-stations which run on conventional fuel, thus it causes more pollution. They are only useful if the country has a high amount of renewable energy sources (dams, solar panels, etc).

Overall its true (from an environmental standpoint). However two main points:

a) urban pollution is reduced because it gets outsourced....as long as the power plants are located in a more low densely populated area, the impact on human health will be reduced (though on environment about the same)

b) the money saved by importing and refining less fuel in the long run (by using local coal) means money that can be invested into further clean technology. This is more of an argument for electric trains rather than cars however.

These are short term measures of course and over the long run you are right that renewables + nuclear are the only "clean" ways to produce electricity for true pollution mitigation.

@Kashmiri Pandit You forgot the govt can implement strict emission norms for cars (catalytic convertor use + mandatory tests/age legislation).

Public transport however is the absolute best way + making the very dense areas more high priority for pedestrians + bicycles (and serviced only by public vehicles and limited commercial vehicles)..

It works for me @Kashmiri Pandit if you copy to notepad and save it there. Copy from notepad back to here when needed.

@Nilgiri What is your thoughts of Capacitors as the source of energy Bank. There is no proper battery which is cheaper, lighter, and have unlimited charging and discharging capability.

2. Is is possible to have economical Fuel cell in automobile.

3. Can technology give us N. fusion as small to be used safely in cars.

Yes but the wind does what it wants. Plenty of times those pollution are brought to the city.

Oh ! Notepad . I copied the names from one thread to another but it didn't work
I will now use Notepad to do that :-)

True hence I mean accounting for prevailing wind data statistics etc when planning the location.....and giving enough distance for adequate dispersion as well.

This beats having a constant smog over a city, wind or no wind.

Solar and Wind could be alternative source of energy but not economically fissiable.

Which era you live in? This year, cost per unit of Solar was comparable to that of crude. And wind was cheaper for the very start of it.

Needs a lot of executive will power to put things into action. Nuke technology is better as pollution can be contained to a specific area.
Trees, more trees. And replace conventional power sources with Solar and Wind.
With pace of urbanization taking place, more trees is a bit difficult. Even if we retain the existing forest cover that will be a great achievement.
2. Is is possible to have economical Fuel cell in automobile.
Well no for now, even if you buy a hybrid car after 2 years batteries will hold less charge. ppl will not buy stuff which lose value.

3. Can technology give us N. fusion as small to be used safely in cars.
forget about cars if we can build safe sustaining nuke fusion reactor for power generation that itself will be big milestone.
