How to become a F-16 pilot in paf

Stick to the USAF, better technology integrated into training routines and more chances of getting into a higher performance fighter.

Also will help with education way more.

The PAF is a good airforce for its size and region, but the USAF is around 50 years ahead of it.

Hi I just had a question. I currently live in the US I've been living here since 2011. im currently 17 and i wanted to know what the chance of me becoming a F-16 pilot is if i come back and join the PAF. What are the physical, mental and educational requirments. if i join the PAF i want to fly F-16s, JF-17 is my second option. i dont wanna get stuck flying J7s and Mirages or order outdated planes
Have a look at eligibility criteria: http://www.joinpaf.gov.pk/induction/offelig.html

More information here: http://pakprep.com/blogs/2015/04/11/paf-gd-pilot-test-and-application-procedure/

When a vacancy is announced, a large number of applications are expected to reach the relevant office because many individuals want to become a pilot. Therefore, competition would be cut-throat. You need to do your best (study the requirements, try to fulfill them, submit your application and prepare for all kinds of written and verbal tests involved) and hope for the best (for the interview).

Keep one thing in mind - rejection is not necessarily an indication that you do not have the potential of becoming a good pilot under the right conditions and circumstances. Assessment of candidates at interview stage, tends to be subjective. You might be the lucky one.

You dont get to choose an airplane in the air force. You will have to fly whatever is allotted to you.
Also, act quickly, f-16 won't be around much as they are becoming obsolete pretty quickly with the changing threat scenario in south Asia. Unless PAF decides to upgrade its fleet I don't know for how much longer they planning to use them.
You can fly J-31 in the future if PAF decides to acquire them.

If you pick the Air National Guard in the US, then you can pick you plane. Check the link below. I would highly advise against listening to Grevion as he's unaware of the recruitment process for PAF.

I thought you wanted to fly in PAF.
You are right I am not unaware of the PAF recruitment process but then most the members aren't either.

I'm basically listing his options. His best bet would be to contact the air attache at Washington DC, at the Pakistan embassy.
