I don't know if the Sikhs I have met in and around Canada are same as ones you talk about. Sikhs in Canada are one of the most hard-working and business oriented community. They also have an exceptional sense of community and political identity -- mostly clustered around their temples. Sikhs as a community are also massively resilient. Sikhs run their own food banks and soup kitchens out of their temples. These are independent of any other social services.

These folks have arrived with nothing and built an exceptional life for them, I don't know why can anyone think of them as anything less. In my business, HVAC, they are fairly well established. Mostly overworked but extremely well earning. A typical Sikh HVAC specialist earns twice to thrice as compared to non-Sikhs.

In politics as well, they have a well organized setup. They vote almost on common issues, they are not shy of standing up for leadership positions and infact one of them almost become prime minister of Canada in this election. Had it not been negative voting by conservative caucus you would be seeing a sikh PM.

I find it hard to believe that they are being fooled or duped. These folks are pretty shrewd. They are generous but shrewd.

Just focus on the thread and video. In that video has that Sikh ever bragged or seek praise? He was just responding to what indian media was saying about Sikhs. Making khalistan and destroying pakistan in few hours were not his claims or any other Sikh.

He is right about Sikhs and Khalistan. They are barely 2 percent and only have the numbers in Punjab.
