Iraq is a Nice Country and all but Saudi Arabia has done far more for Egyptians then Iraq has ever done. Not only that but having a country we share the Sinai border,Red Sea not on friendly terms is not very good. Considering we don't want to be surrounded by Enemies and people who don't like us.

That's after the gulf war and the no fly zones, he passed a law allowing them to intervene against the PKK given that the PKK conflict experienced some kind of growth in the early 90's. Turkey initially (pre Gulf war) did request NATO defenses from a possible Iraqi attack.

We are at war with them? I feel like Egypt has a hell of a lot more to gain from being friends with Turkey and Saudi Arabia then Iraq and Israel. erdogan turkey will not be friends with us as long as we dont have brotherhood rule and that wont happen and iraq isnt friendly with isreal and even if they were that is not a problem at least for me we have a peace treaty with them which i support .
we are not surrounded with enemies our relations with libya is good the peace treaty with isreal is working that leaves sudan and hamas and they cant harm us
