Asalam-O-Alikum,
Now a days we are looking towards saving money an increasing efficiency in every way that includes power as well. Although in the West we can now see that many people are utilizing the renewable resources of electricity like Solar, Wind as well as some generating through the flow of water in canals by placing the turbines. But still the people of Pakistan isn't utilizing due to many facts that its expensive to buy just because of the fact that GoP has placed great tax on and and the whole system cost a lot too. Other reason is that those who are proving this are demanding too much money for that which is not fesible for any one to have such system.

But with all that I want to have a Hybrid system for my house like Solar and Wind based system attached with batteries. I have a problem that I am unable to get the right quote for the solar panels as well as for windmills and batteries(Lithium Ion) which I will need? So I want to ask you that can you people be able to help me getting some free solar panels for my home like 2-3 500 Watts one?

A little of topic:

Pakistan is making a big mistake making the 4200 MW Basha Dam at a cost of $ 12 Billion. If a Wind Power system of 1MW costs about $1 million dollars, we can place 12,000 units, to produce a total of 12,000 MW.

Yes i'm being unrealistic here with the number of units. But one can see the cost to power ratio between the two situations....

Here would be the potential sites:

Dams are for dual purpose - There are alternatives for electricity not for water, we need more dams to save water for crops and avoid floods

Sure but dams under construction in Pakistan would create lots of problems. Let me give you examples. Projects have been approved in Skardu and it would require destroying beautiful villages, unbelievable landscapes and displacing thousands of people. Would you want that? Similarly, the site where the Basha Dam is going to be built in will be near an earthquake zone. A similar type of situation occured in India and it forced flooding....

Many Small Dams can be created (for water storage) but I would recommend proper planning and studying.

Its actually depends on the subsidy particular country is providing on panels

You already suggested how to avoid these problems in your last sentence.

Let's back to topic: I am also interested to know the cost of solar power for home, and thinking to install if it's feasible. I don't think power crisis will be resolved in next few years

Solar is worth every penny. Pakistan does not have weather extremes and so I don't think it would matter which brand you buy.

Here is your potential of sunlight:

If government really wants to solve the electricity issue

1) fully utilize the current production capacity

and

2) slash the duties and give some subsidies to equipments related to generating electricity by solar and wind so that the people can use it more and in turn the government will have to spend less on running the traditional electricity generating power plants.

But wait, am i asking something from the Pakistani government and politicians as a citizen for the well being of the common man? Last time i checked, they wanted us to leave the country, they do not require the very citizens whose servants they are and as a matter of fact it is their (government's and politicians') duty to serve their masters (the citizens).

My question to the Federal Minister of Water and Power Pakistan and all his assistants and the heads of Ministry of Water and Power at state level:

Will you be able to get appointed in your other country for the same post that you are handling in Pakistan keeping in view your excellent track records and resource management and providing solutions to the citizens.

Dams aren't just made for electricity they are for saving water as well. For dam construction I think they should look firstly to those who have been affected from the construction of last dams and rehablitiate them first and then look towards the current ones and firstly place these people in the right place and then start work on the new dams not only 1 but several ones by taking loans from ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK as well as inviting ARABS to invest in it and take away their profits in the first five years along with the invested money. One thing we should do with all the dams is to create canals so that the water stored can reach to the fields as well.
HUBCO and ENGRO along with others should look towards SOLAR AND WIND FARMS not foreign companies.

Somewhere its too hot and somewhere its too windy but our govt is just too LAZY!

It varies, i got a 1.8KW solar system installed recently and paid $1999 after government rebates.
And if you generate more power than your requirement, it is sent back to the Grid using smart meter. This way you have thousands of homes not only generating but feeding excess energy back to grid - kinda like mini power stations.

The solar panel's value came down much, so far I learned worldwide.

.
My father installed solar panel in our village home(it is a out of grid area). He bought them from Grameen shakti ( clean energy provider of bangladesh)

He bought the thing for taka 36,000(2008 value). It runs 3 tube lights, one 17inch black and white tv, charges mobile phone, it can run a fan too(only those that can be charged). The duration may vary from 4 to 6 hours, depending on usage.

Here is the full price list of all the different solar panels and systems offered in bangladesh by grameen shakti. I urge you all to take a look.

Price List

The best solar panel system(however they are hybrid, as they are connected to the grid) offered can run 21 inch color tv, ceiling fans, computer, lights and other electronics.

Abu Dhabi to pioneer new 'smart' power grid

The capital is to be a global pioneer of the "smart" electricity grid, a technological innovation that could lead to a solar panel on almost every rooftop. The Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), which supplies electricity to the city and surrounding areas, will have installed digital electricity meters in all buildings by the end of this year, its deputy managing director Abdulrahman al Dhaheri said yesterday.

The new meters not only calculate power usage, but also allow consumers to sell their own solar-generated electricity back to the grid. Two other changes are under consideration by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council: a subsidy scheme for rooftop solar panels and the first increase in power prices in 15 years. ADDC has proposed subsidies that would pay homeowners to install solar panels on their roofs with total output capacity of 500 megawatts, a third of the Government's renewable energy target.

The digital meter installations, already 65 per cent complete, will give ADDC the data and tools it needs to try to slow galloping consumption growth, Mt al Dhaheri said. The proposed changes are the key planks in the Abu Dhabi Government's strategy to generate 7 per cent of electricity from solar power and other clean energy sources by 2020, which will in turn cut greenhouse gas emissions. The Abu Dhabi Executive Council is also considering a power price increase of undetermined size recommended last week by the Regulation and Supervision Bureau (RSB), the industry regulator. A price increase would be the most effective way to persuade consumers to switch off lights and turn up the thermostat, experts agree.

A traditional meter records a customer's continuous usage, which can be read at intervals, usually of a month. The new digital meters can be monitored to show consumption peaks and troughs throughout the day. They will also allow households to sell power from rooftop solar panels back into the grid, Mr al Dhaheri said. The meter is the basis for a "smart grid" designed to enable a utility to control consumption, said Reinier Grobbelaar, a UAE business manager for ABB, the Swiss power equipment supplier.

"Whereas the control system of a traditional grid assumes the demand side to be a 'given', smart grids create incentives for consumers to modify their consumption patterns," he said. The Executive Council said last week that it had "agreed to the memorandum submitted by the RSB with regards to tariffs of progressive consumption segments of water and electricity".
