How India's Economy Is Growing At A Faster Pace Than China

.
India is a country whose very foundations are based on fake-ness. Here are a few example:

-India manipulates and fakes its GDP. This is an internationally known fact which even the US criticized.
-India has been unable to lift its poverty - in fact more than 600 Million people live below the poverty line. This is the largest portion of humanity in a single country in distress.
-India's unemployment rate has doubled. How is a country which is developing at such a supposedly high growth rate has such high unemployment?
-Its manufacturing base is no where near what China does. China is a manufacturing Superpower, India is a fake superpower on paper.

There is just no comparison between China and India.

Interestingly... USA feel that China is the biggest manipulator of GDP data and currency... but that should not be a concern for India or China...

Pakistanis do have the habit of PULLING OUT THE OLD data... As on 2018.. We have 120 million living under poverty line... which is around 5% of our population... it is a dark spot but we are eradicating it very swiftly... Since, you would not believe reports by Indian newspapers... here is an article from WASHINGTON POST...

As per this article... by 2022, only 15 million would be living under poverty line in India... and I'm pretty hopeful that this number will decrease further than this estimate... pro-poor policies are at forefront right now...

Try to search for:
1. Ujjwala Yojna
2. Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana
3. Mission Indradhanush
4. Jan-Dhan Yojana
5. Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

This time the difference is due to SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION...

Manufacturing base in no where near to China... Yes, it is... but the Infrastructure in developing at a rapid pace...

Indian opposition parties did created a myth in 2004 that ABV G's government has failed to create employment and economy is shattered due to his policies... NDA lost the elections... by 2006, following FACTS emerged...

1. 6 crore new jobs were created
2. highest Infrastructure growth rate in Indian history till that time
3. PM gram Sadak Yojna was a huge hit

Deserving candidates are getting jobs... and capable people are running their own businesses...

There is just no comparison between China and India.

Agreed... they are far ahead of India... China in competing with USA...

I agree. The whole world know India fakes their GDP. India overstates their Economy while China understates it.

Even if they're being 100% honest about their GDP, it's ridiculous to claim India is growing at a "faster pace than China." India's economy is less than a fifth the size of China's and growing at a slightly faster percentage rate (the difference is always within 0.5 percentage points, and it's not consistently in India's favour).

This silly myth persists for two reasons:
  1. People are by and large innumerate.
  2. Popular economic analysis is done by the business press, whose intended audience is tiny mom-and-pop "investors" (nobody who works at Goldman Sachs watches CNBC). All an investor cares about is money out vs money in, and there the absolute size of the economy is not a factor.
I wanted to illustrate the sheer scale of China's economy, so I did a somewhat non-trivial calculation. I calculated how long it would take China to add some other country's GDP as an increment to its own, as that other country grows. The result for India, using the IMF's 2018 data, is...

3.59 years. In slightly more than 3.5 years, China adds an India to its GDP. There's your "growing faster than China.":)

I get it, bro. It's very simple math. Indians know it, yet don't want to believe it. :D
I am wondering why.

China actually has an incentive to understate our growth so that we can continue to enjoy developing economy status according to WTO. India after Modi tend to use Bombay stats to boast economic growth rates due to popularism. We are the exact opposite.

Yes, tangible benefits are always better than hollow pride, and China is a very practical country.

Well our culture is about being humble... We tend to.hide our abilities lest it attracts attention. 10 years ago I was telling those indiots in BR China is researching alot of cutting edge tech, they laughed, now they see the fruits of those research. These Indians tend to believe if we don't tell them, it doesn't exist. Simple minded creatures except for the 1% brahmic elites who control them.

People cry GDP from the top of their voices like its some sort of anthem. Look at reality, with your eyes.

Vast amounts of poverty, uncleanliness, confusion, instability, and menial labour systems run by gangs and a very basic agriculture system. There are a few small pockets of nice buildings and offices running services. Thats all.

Judge the economy of India with what you see in India.

There are Indians that actually walk around with the biggest concern in their head as GDP.

I ask them, where is this magical pot of gold beyond the rainbow you speak of?

India will never fully eradicate poverty in their country as they won't allow majority of Muslims to progress. So I think they are happy with the poverty levels.
