How India Killed SAARC to the Benefit of China

I dont think so one can remove pakistan from SAARC untill unless pakistan decided to leave... but i dont think so they'll leave... their only stay is to block indian advantages though they won't be benefited from any thing

1. I said "suspend" not Remove. A suspension is temporary. They have been suspended from the common wealth earlier.

2. Any constitution can be changed and India has to find a way to suspend pakistan from SAARC.

3. The idea is not to give them a "choice" to stay or leave, but to take away their choice.

Absolutely true. The decision to render SAARC redundant has already been set into motion. Its known as BIMSTEC.The only SAARC nations not to figure in this group are Pakistan , Afghanistan & Maldives.I suspect Maldives will be included into BIMSTEC at a later date.As far as Afghanistan goes , it will be part of the North South Corridor initiative undertaken by India & Iran.

That is foolish. India has spent time and money to build SAARC.

Rather than let it get hijacked and abandon it, we need to regain control of SAARC and South Asia.

How is India going to do that? India is acting too big for its boots. Can India spend billions in south asian countries like China? No.

Why should India spend billions in south asian countries ? :cheesy:

As to how India is going to get pakistan suspended from SAARC, that is where diplomacy comes into play. Its time sushma swaraj does her job.

India is going to suspended from SAARC????????????????????????? How????

General zia made SAARC for this region.

SAARC is most important for India too. She need s her basic transit to business in this circumstances. This is why India is spending billion s of dollars in south asain countries as a tie relationship and getting benefits.

1. Learn english so that you can understand what you read.

2. What genral ziaur Rahman wanted is irrelevant.

3. For general business there is WTO. India does not need SAARC, SAARC needs India.

4. India spends billions to make 2 billion. Its called investing in our future. India do not need SAARC for that. India just gave Mongolia 1 Billion $ and Mongolia is not part of SAARC.

.
SAARC line theory is mandatory for this region. If China can maintain the line of control of SAARC,l defiantly it will work. But it will be back head pain for US and west .

Its called the "shanghai cooperation council" of which India is already a part. BD is not.

2- He wanted to make a unity in this south asian territory for its prosperity. That whole countries stay in a bond physically.

3- The World Trade Organization (WTO) deals with the global rules. Not regional. And SAARC is just a way to do business or trade with this territory . It is not a business organization. But show the way how to do that.

4- If India earn 4 billion it is their concern. how they are doing that that is the question. They are doing business in this region and their product is going nearby countries. SAARC just made for this purpose that one country can help another. India needs SAARC. If you ask you PM modi - Do you want to leave SAARC - his answer will be no. Do you know why ? Bcz India- Bangladesh signed many files under the treaty of SAARC. And in future they have to. This is just an example. Not only BD. Nearby all countries interest is here .

Mongolia isn't a part of SAARC , and India gave them donation or else, that is not a concern of SAARC.

we know the internal relationship between china and India. dn't worry about that .

2. That is resulted from mutual respect, not fancy organisation. E.g. stopping illegal migration.

3. SAARC offers nothing which WTO does not already offer in terms of Trade.

4. India does not need SAARC to earn 4 billion or 40 billion. The markets are too small and the trade between border nations will happen irrespective of SAARC.

India does not need to leave SAARC, but need to make sure pakistan is suspended from SAARC for undermining the very credibility of SAARC which is to ensure closer bonds.

No one gives a $hit if you know or do not know the relationship between India and China. Its above your pay grade.

India relationship with nations will continue with or without SAARC. SAARC brings Nothing special to the table, except a forum for a group of nations to meet regularly.

What is SAARC's impact on Indian economy?

It is already pointed out by Sai Madhav Ogirala and Aniruddh Kamat that the instability in SAARC countries, political differences and micro economy haven't helped much in boosting the Indian economy. SAARC countries account for 6.6 % of India's total export for fiscal year 2014-2015. (Sri lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal are the top importers from India). The numbers might not be too interesting now but the wave of manufacturing revolution by India has expected to increase it to 9 % by the end of 2016.

SAARC has achieved very little in comparison to the other regional organisations. India, the largest economy and the most populous country in the region, is an idealist as well as a realist in its ongoing efforts to revitalize the SAARC as the preeminent forum of regional cooperation and economic integration. Opening university, food bank and disaster management probe might be initially appreciable steps but in the long run it doesn’t create any big step in accelerating the economy of the region.

The campaigns like Make in India and Start-up India forwarded by Narendra Modi government are expected to bring a lot of manufacturer to India and creating favorable environment for its own people to establish industries. They are going to need a huge markets for its operation. SAARC countries can be their biggest bets in market if cross border trade and their full liberty is facilitated along with removal of tariff barriers.

It is the densest area in the world in terms of population which can prove to be a boon as bigger population gives quicker response of the product in the market. This can help India export its great variety of products through less regulated trade channels and earn foreign exchange.
