How How Good is Chinese J10-C fighter jet

they have the same role as far as air superiority fighters. of course the SU35 can also be used in other roles.

Su-35 has great range and payload. It's used for CAP over SCS. Also because China supports Russia's defense industry. China's purchase of Su-27 in the 1990s is what saved Sukhoi from bankruptcy.

Su-35 just got raped by J-10C in a recent exercise. Su-35 is a good strike aircraft but its air to air capabilities are a joke compared Chinese fighters, it doesn't even have an AESA radar.

You need to take into account the huge number of old fighters that PLAAF desperately needs to replace.

Su-35 has different role than J-10C. J-10C is mainly point defense. Su-35 is CAP. It's like comparing F-16 with F-15. F-16 point defense. F-15 CAP.

the F15 is both a Point Defense and CAP fighter.

the F16 was created to do Point Defense and yes CAP as well. it roles have expanded into multi role fighter.

the SU35 can do Point Defense well as a Interceptor or in a role as a combat air patrol fighter. in fact it can do both roles better then the J10C.
