How France maintains its grip on Africa

Bruh i never had an idea of how much influence France has in west africa. I always thought it was more of like Pakistan/US relations in the 2000s, with US paying Pakistan to host and transport some of its logistical forces and having some political influence.

This is however in a whole different level. France essentially controls their currency and resources. I mean the african states cant even access their own funds, they have to borrow it from the french who holds them and cant use the funds on companies other than those of french origins. This is textbook colonialism. The french have been crying about china, but they themselves are full of shady shit.

French exert massive influence over North and Western Africa. They are largely despised....French as a spoken language is in decline globally...mostly since African countries no longer promote it.
